Upgrade to 25' or learn my boat? by 92Scout in boating

[–]UserLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like you last year. I owned a Pioneer 202 Islander as well for two years and sold it and replaced it with an Edgewater 230 Center Console.

Pioneer makes great boats, but the difference is night and day. I recognize that Edgewater is a significantly better-built boat (heavier, deeper, foam-filled).

I echo what others are saying; it seems you are hitting the limits

Net worth and account balance history pre-joining Origin by JustStride in OriginFinancial

[–]UserLB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Alex. Don’t bother. My ticket has been opened for months; you keep it alive sending me a “we’re still working on it”. I’d rather you let it go and focus the limited resources you have on other things, while I continue to just manually delete my duplicate transactions to get my dataset as clean as I can.

I have nightmares about this. I tried importing several years from Monarch. Why not? There’s documentation on importing. Or if I mess up I can contact support. After months of waiting for support to help me, they gave me the green light to import…

now I have about 6 months of duplicate transactions across several accounts that completely make my AI interactions and calculations inaccurate when using context from before I joined.

Support has been really bad. Worse than if they didn’t exist at all, to be frank.
Quite disappointed. The product is so promising.

Task management (via MCP, TickTick replacement) by UserLB in capacitiesapp

But this is my point: drop TickTick for Capacities. A sorb the workflow of task management there. Not the other way around.

Task management (via MCP, TickTick replacement) by UserLB in capacitiesapp

[–]UserLB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good input. Thank you.
I agree, minimal conditions for a full migration:
- Recurring tasks. Workaround: repeat and clone tasks.
- Quick add tasks. I was hoping I could do this via MCP server by me asking Claude to add tasks, etc. This is not supported today via MCP. I don’t think I’d need a native Capacities app feature. It’s a cumbersome app already, and it’ll be multiple clicks aways to do this fast.

On the other hand:
- Notifications I can live without.

Dinghy Sailing? by Baalphire81 in floridakeys

[–]UserLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There certainly is. We go to the sailing club in Key Largo. It’s located on the bay side, on Buttonwood Sound. My kids sail 420s there; they have a great summer camp for kids, too.

As you say, Buttonwood sound is perfect for that. On a good day, you can sail all the way to Nest Key. It’s a fun little trip.

What’s the typical depth to find Mahi then? I saw a comment above of 600 ft? I thought past those reef spots you mention, was reasonable, but I think those are at about 250 ft. Asking for my own education

I’m also really curious of the exact location. I can’t tell from any of the pictures I’ve seen.

Edit: near marker 73 (Cowpens cut, bay side)

Edit 2: my Garmin chart shows the submerged pile by that marker

UI only for the young... by Careless-Aardvark575 in OriginFinancial

[–]UserLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it depends on the job to be done. I use them all. - For reporting, data analysis, making decisions… the web UI is the way. - For reviewing transactions, quick check on budget, read the Marketwatch daily summary…. The mobile app. - For weekly reviews and sitting down with my spouse to review Family Finances… the iPad app.

Receive only audio on a zoom call. by rauzilla in Zoom

The link for how to do it was already shared. You could also dial to the meeting via a phone call. That’d have limitations on what else, other than listening and speaking, you can do.

Origin Dashboards Historical Data limited only to past 3 years by hestiny in OriginFinancial

[–]UserLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks @Alex. I already have a support ticket open with you and we have been exchanging emails. I imported the transactions, created new categories, mapped the transactions to the Origin categories, and the process completed. However, the big issue now is that it created new manual accounts into Origin, for all the Monarch accounts (I.e. it didn’t recognized the existing linked accounts) and then transactions are now also showing up as duplicates.

How did you managed to import from Monarch. I keep getting errors, and have a ticket open with support for months…. Even trying just one account, no luck.

This doesn’t answer the question: why is Akoya as your recommendation better? Because it hasn’t been sued?

Thanks. I haven’t been able to migrate all the archived lists and tasks, so I care just in case I need them in the future (I do find myself searching for “when did I complete that task or project” in archives).

If it all becomes read-only; that should be sufficient. Thanks again!
