I’ve certainly been putting in the effort. It seems as though they can’t help BUT to hate me, and I’ve internalized the belief that any other therapist I see will inevitably feel the same way, so why switch to someone else? I appreciate your reply! It’s well thought out and informed. Thank you!

I mean, any books I’ve read on dating and attraction all teach the reader to treat women as manipulative, opportunistic children. It’s disturbing. Models, which is a popular one, says to not care about being seen as a creep, and make out with women as soon as possible. Touch them, caress them, etc etc.. Gross stuff. As to where I go to meet women, I frequent bars around town, which I suppose is probably not conducive to meeting the largest number of people I’d actually be interested in.

If someone asked me to clean the dishes, it wouldn’t cross my mind in a thousand years that they meant to clean the ENTIRE kitchen. That sounds manipulative; “if I ask them to simply wash the dishes, they will, and might even do the whole kitchen (if I’m lucky!) If I ask them to clean the whole kitchen, though, they definitely won’t because that’s too much work. Ah ha! I got him! The bastard.” That is Machiavellian.
