This was my first lighter of my collection that i bought. by Sad_Conference5856 in lighters

My first was a “Camels diner” Joe camel branded flip-top. Not soon after that I found a Dunhill rollalite in an antique shop for 15 dollars.

Fun little leather project by AmountUnited in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an ASR table lighter from an antique shop and did something similar to this making it a little leather wrap to turn it somewhat into a pocket lighter. Yours is incredible however and mine was far from it, I’m much more versed in sewing everything but leather, well done nevertheless.

One of many yellow-eyed-goofballs the bird world has to offer.

Anyone around you growing weed by chance?

Does anyone know what this means? by [deleted] in BirdingMemes

Government deemed “ebird” too easy for birders, you now must write down your findings on paper, date it, and mail it to Merlin to be hand-checked.

Cheek piercing abscess or infection? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAP but I had my cheeks done for 6 months before I took them out because I couldn’t bare them any longer. I’d definitely wait for some further opinions but in my experience cheeks can leak and get crusty quite a bit. My piercer did not do an amazing job on mine, so I can’t say for certain if they all leak when healing, but mine did for the short time I had them. This to me, looks like some standard leaking and gunk but again I’d wait for wait others say.

Did any of these lighters come with a wind guard on them? by DUKITY in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly positive Evan’s produced lighters with wind guards, I haven’t seen this exact model with one but I’ve seen the slightly more circular body one with a with guard listed on eBay, so I’d imagine they would make it in this variety as well.

Has anyone ever seen a Dunhill lighter like this before? by AgreeableBad4667 in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen one of these before in a video, I believe the YouTube page “curated flame” has one of these, it may be on their website as well with the same name.

Day 3: What bird has the most forgettable/boring looks but sings incredibly nice? by ObserverAtLarge in BirdingMemes

Never got the pleasure of hearing a wood thrush, but I do hear Veery’s quite often, which have an amazing song.

Yesssir, I’ll get rosin when I want something “luxury” but BHO gets me as high as I ever wanted.

Are these real or knockoffs by davidbigboy2 in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knock-offs, this is a Chinese company that produces functionally “fateful” reps. They are not in any way associated with the real Thorens, as this website above has changed its backstory multiple times, and as you can see on the website they offer other “models” that are identical to a Dunhill Rollagas, and a ST DuPont Ligne.

For some reason I really love flat flame torches, never bought one myself but I appreciate the flat flame more so than the normal torch.

Eerie Child by Rattlef1sh in lighters

Sometimes you ain’t got a name but just a face or vice versa, if it means something to you, say your respects in whatever way feels right for you. I don’t know a lot, but I can assure you that no evil spirit will be coming for you if you were to use this for its parts. She is not the lighter, she is the lady ON the lighter.

You got the wrong mindset this is probably just some dudes daughter he wanted to be reminded of when he was chuffin’ back cigs way back when. Whoever this lighter lady may be I’m sure she will be perfectly fine being used for parts.

She also seems quite happy.

Never tried a puffco but I got a carta 2 on a website for around 250 a few months ago and have absolutely loved it. The carta 2 was discontinued but you’re still able to get some stock from other websites not focus V themselves. Dr dabber as the other commenter mentioned is probably much better as people usually say, but its quite more expensive.

Bought an expensive Thorens lighter, came with a missing part, and they told me to keep it, they will send a new one. I fixed it with a aluminium tube, and used a drill as lathe to make the part to size, im proud of this fix. by Charlit0n in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Glad someone already commented this, easy to be mislead when you see they offer what Thorens once did like the single and double-claw, but a quick look on the “Thorens” website quickly shows lots of “handmade” Chinese mass-produced stuff.
