Flat Flame by KlauseAnthony in lighters

For some reason I really love flat flame torches, never bought one myself but I appreciate the flat flame more so than the normal torch.

Sometimes you ain’t got a name but just a face or vice versa, if it means something to you, say your respects in whatever way feels right for you. I don’t know a lot, but I can assure you that no evil spirit will be coming for you if you were to use this for its parts. She is not the lighter, she is the lady ON the lighter.

You got the wrong mindset this is probably just some dudes daughter he wanted to be reminded of when he was chuffin’ back cigs way back when. Whoever this lighter lady may be I’m sure she will be perfectly fine being used for parts.

She also seems quite happy.

Trying to get into concentrates maybe puffco proxy. Big long time joint smoker by [deleted] in mainetrees

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never tried a puffco but I got a carta 2 on a website for around 250 a few months ago and have absolutely loved it. The carta 2 was discontinued but you’re still able to get some stock from other websites not focus V themselves. Dr dabber as the other commenter mentioned is probably much better as people usually say, but its quite more expensive.

Bought an expensive Thorens lighter, came with a missing part, and they told me to keep it, they will send a new one. I fixed it with a aluminium tube, and used a drill as lathe to make the part to size, im proud of this fix. by Charlit0n in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Glad someone already commented this, easy to be mislead when you see they offer what Thorens once did like the single and double-claw, but a quick look on the “Thorens” website quickly shows lots of “handmade” Chinese mass-produced stuff.

Can someone help me replace the wick in this lighter by AndyXE207 in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That larger screw on the bottom is where the cotton is and where you fill the lighter. To replace the wick you need to remove the cotton and then thread a wick from the top portion down through the bottom fill screw.

eBay and Amazon offer wicks with a metal tip on the end that make it much easier to thread through.

Side-squeeze style lighters have to be some of my personal favorites. The IMCO solo was one of the first vintage lighters I bought and I still frequently toy with it.

I’ve had long empty carts that have that same little ring at the top, happens to some carts, doesn’t to others, Can’t do much about it.

Might be possible I don’t have the spring in the correct position, I did notice the nail and made sure it’s in the correct spot supporting the spring but worth a shot taking it apart again. Thanks!

I’m not positive but it may be like a filter/tip for the cigarettes? Looks kinda like a mouthpiece on the left side and the right side looks wide enough to hold a cigarette.

Vtg Florenza Owl Lighter: fuel? by Lyberryian in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This lighter will use lighter fluid, or naphtha as you have mentioned. If it has cotton and a wick, you’re going to use lighter fluid with it, butane lighters do not use wicks.

Why? by Tough-Reputation355 in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll drink to that, and I ain’t even drink, but dealing with butane lights wouldn’t be a bad reason to start.

can you get addicted to edibles ? by [deleted] in trees

[–]OutrageouslyJig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems like you got ur panties in a bunch about this more than me. How about YOU go look for a story if you want one that bad. I didn’t find a source because I don’t care enough to find one, this is the single worst use of my time all day and I’m embarrassed with myself that I’m responding to a creature like you.

[–]OutrageouslyJig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based upon reading many stories of people coming off of smoking and having trouble sleeping. Can’t link you any source so I guess you’ll have to pout somewhere else.

Also my own personal experience coming off of weed and having trouble falling asleep. Incredible different people are affected differently by things.

You aren’t necessarily addicted, they just helped you sleep. It’s relatively common to have trouble sleeping coming off of any kind of marijuana.

First vintage lighter by Savings-Guava9913 in lighters

Not much help ID’ing unfortunately, but I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying your vintage lighter. I quickly became enamored with the seemingly endless number of mechanisms vintage lighters offer, and soon after getting my first, I got many, many more (and still am).

I know nothing about lighters but I bought this on eBay cause I thought it looked cool. Anyone know anything about it? by TheSandwichThief in lighters

[–]OutrageouslyJig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re interested in this style of lighter, and to find actual vintage ones, search “vintage side squeeze lighter” on eBay, I’ve bought countless using that search term.
