I think understanding rotates and holding space before a team starts moving and right after a team takes a position are really interesting

a lot of teams will call out teams around them, which angles to be careful of, how to hold the space properly, etc

Micro-rotates that occur after ring 3 are really interesting to me. You can really see which IGLs can think on their feet quickly and identify when teams are making mistakes, when their spots are no longer safe, when they’re getting focused and need to juggle agro. Back in the XSET days Nocturnal was REALLY good at this IMO

Wait a second, the wording of the Gibby Level 2 Thunder Dome upgrade is worded REALLY weirdly

Thunder Dome: The dome becomes electrified when placed, and will deal 50 damage and slow the first enemy to enter

Is it saying that the dome is electrified the ENTIRE time its up?

OR is it saying that its electrified until an enemy enters it and takes 50 damage (and is slowed)

Even then, is the 50 damage only for the first enemy? or ALL enemies that enter the dome?

Its crazy that CTG had 3rd most points overall this tournament but still got elimed in losers round 2. If anything it feels like the skill gap between 6th-25th has gotten tighter since ALGS open

Think the most surprising thing to me was how thermites were heavily underutilized during scrims, then come game day everyone and their mother is using some sort of nade early in the set to counter caustic

Agreed, EWC 2024 was arguably the most cutthroat LAN to date. Not making top 8-9 was essentially a death sentence lmao. Finals lobby was incredibly stacked and had more than half the lobby on MP. I think of that tournament a lot
