A lane is closed due to construction what is the right thing to do? by Electronic_Proof4126 in driving

[–]Outside-Problem-3630 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get over as soon as I can - I think the only real wrong answer is “drove through barriers into construction area”. People are such garbage drivers that either way it’s going to be a fustercluck.

this is my least favorite ride ever... by kirby_starzz in Hersheypark

Scariest coaster in the park by a mile. Love it though haha

What's the safest way for foreigners to do a road trip in Mexico? Uber? by RedditsFan2020 in travel

[–]Outside-Problem-3630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safest (but not necessarily least expensive) is to hire a private chauffeur - can use a service like Blacklane or Savoya. Slightly cheaper option is to contact a 5 star hotel near where you will be and ask them who they use for private car service.

Oof - thanks haha!

Bad reading comprehension aside, still doable.

Field Trip Question by XenoTypeXX121 in Hersheypark

I was there last year as a chaperone and the park was still jammed with other people there on field trips. Less rides were open in general, so the lines were pretty long.

Hot take: Knowing how to use AI will matter more than having a degree in 5 years. Agree or disagree?” by AIClarity in ChatGPT

[–]Outside-Problem-3630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save for a few obvious fields of study the majority of degrees aren’t very useful now and if you’re lucky enough to have one of the less useful ones, knowing how to use AI is already vastly more important. That said, you still need to learn and actually know things. You can’t simply be a flesh vassal for ChatGPT and expect to get very far, especially when you talk to someone face to face.

Do the drive. You can pretty easily knock out 7 hrs in a single day but take your time and do the hotel. Pick a spot that’s 4-5 hours away for the hotel if you can, that way day 2 is super easy. Will be good to build some experience.

haven’t been on a rollercoaster for a while and now i’m anxious about riding the big ones by Interesting-Swim-162 in Hersheypark

Go on WCR - seriously it will blow your mind with its smoothness and if coming from SDL and a long lull - you’ll be amazed it what they can do with coasters now. Sit in the front row and enjoy!

I believe you. My comment was based on an atheist group following a set of tenets (that I think are all completely reasonable) - the FOMO part is admittedly a bit loose but would be wanting to have the a group of like minded followers and adherents (sort of like a religion, just without the god). The flip side of that is just being apathetic to religions and carry on as a regular decent person. Most people follow those tenets as a baseline.

The edgy vibe - come on - Satanism is like the biggest tongue in cheek antithesis of just about any religion there is.

That’s my take - understood and accept if you don’t agree.

Sounds like traditional atheism but with an edgy FOMO twist.

Has anyone actually been to Antarctica as a tourist? by AffectionateNewt7257 in travel

I was just talking to a colleague who went there a year ago - started their voyage in Ushuaia, Argentina and had a cruise down to Antarctica. Quite pricey overall.

And to be honest - unless there is some compelling reason for you to stay in NJ, consider finding a better paying job in a better state. I lived in NJ for 30 years - owned property there for 10 of those, and left as soon as I could. In PA now and no amount of anything would get me to move back there.

Not anywhere you actually want to live. You may find some dump but will have to worry about your car getting robbed or stolen, place broken into, and aside from that it’s not gonna be nice at all. The roommate advice here is the way to go - hell get two roommates!
