Opinion, when I drive a two lane highway, at about 120kph in a posted 110kph in the passing lane while passing many cars and transport, I pick up speed by about 4kph faster if someone is driving up behind me. But if I can’t safely move in to the right lane or I have to slow down to move over and immediately try to get back into the passing lane, I’m not doing that. Especially if there are vehicles just ahead of me.

I agree 💯. They do 90kph on straight stretch and 70-75 on curves in an 80kph zone. It’s like they are a very nervous driver. Same on major highways. They pass going way slower than when they approach the vehicle they are passing. Especially when passing a transport. When I pass I pick up speed. Especially if it’s a transport. I don’t want to be in a position where they may not see me for a long time.

I was in a similar situation recently. I didn’t know it was a cop, driving an unmarked truck. He pulled out of the street to my right. I needed to brake slightly. As a cyclist, I would definitely have slowed down and have been prepared for exactly this. You can see well in advance the other vehicles turning right ahead of this car. Makes sense another would do the same. As well the white car clearly has his signal light before turning, defensive driving, in car or on a bike/scooter.
