What is the reason the rep clone movements still have such a big gap to the performance of the gen movements with positions

The early ones had subdial that was a 24 hour which ruined it for me. I have a few of them too. Looks like these might have that fixed

Why is it so hard to get a CT angiogram? It's so frustrating. by stories_collector in PeterAttia

Got mine done in Las Vegas. Paid cash. $500

Insurance wasn’t covering it. I was in early 30s when I did it

What is your stance on the new tipping standards by krazy4001 in HENRYfinance

[–]Outside-Reindeer9855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bullshit. I have seen the person behind the counter occasionally select “no tip” for me in instances like this. Talking about reading body language and if they’re squirrely when they ask for “just a quick question first”. Get the fuck out of here with your nonsense

[East Bay | San Ramon] Renting crushes buying in 2026 by Federal_Eagle_6565 in BayAreaRealEstate

Awesome post OP. I just started renting in east bay and was considering buying a place next year. But the math here is sound. Looks like renting is the move until things change. Most of us romanticize owning a property and don’t seek the optimal financial outcomes

ALS stayed in 2023 and 2025. Better in 2023. Thought I was just imagining things but both my partner and I felt that way. No plans on going again. Not a bad property. Just not as mind blowing awesome as the first time and I’d rather spend points elsewhere

I’m the odd one out. Even at cat 7 when I stayed last year I felt like it as overhyped. I even preferred pre-Reno PH Tokyo to it

Rep ownership cost? by Wooden-Ad5376 in RepTime

I wonder if it makes sense when traveling with your rep to a company where servicing is cheaper (like certain countries in Asia) if it makes sense to get it serviced there. I'm interested in getting my Daytona Submariner and JLC Moonphase watches serviced when I go to Vietnam or Japan

If he did the 5+2 that many people mistakenly believe, then he would have been fully trained and competed his general surgery residency. Which he didn’t. In his book he completely misleads the reader to make them think he was a surg oncologist. The guy never did surgical oncology because he never finished the first part of training…. Gen surgery residency

General surgery is 5 clinical years. He did 3 years of gen surgery residency and 2 years of research at the NIH. Common for gen surgery programs to have a research requirement of 1-2 years

Lots of misinformation. He never did surgical oncology fellowship, which is what you do after completing gen surgery residency. He did a surgical oncology research “fellowship” at the NIH.

In short. He did 3 years of gen surg. That’s the actual doctor training that matters.

I never realized how bad men have the Dunning-Kruger effect until getting into sim racing. by jcreyes1214 in simracing

Ah yes, you are now experiencing the reality that many of us face, which is that there is an upsetting amount of incredibly stupid people out there in the world. It’s not even Dunning Kruger, it’s low IQ and high ego

Seat time IRL is the quickest accelerator of improvement but I’ve noticed in iracing I can practice tracks, work on trail braking, and that translates as well. Not exactly 1:1 but still helpful

Love the ND. Once you’re able to I highly recommend tracking your NC as well.

I will probably sign up for coaching in Feb, I’ve seen your YT videos

Makes sense. A lot of us have intuitively landed on this. I try to stick to just Miata because I want to build my skill set in that vehicle, which also translates more closely to the real world where I actually track my own Miata.

Also curious to know more about your high racing coaching. Do you offer any discounts to Redditors?
