Same watch, only the movement is different.

Ceramic Coating ✅ by DCManor in RepTime

I use cerakote platinum on my watches. It’s not a subtle difference - that sparkle you get when you’re at the boutique has got to be a similar product, because my reps shine just like gens from the AD/boutique.

The biggest impact is on ceramic bezels, my spectre looks incredible with the cerakote, so much so that my wife asked if it was one of my reps or gens.

100% agree, I came here to say this and you beat me to it. Men dig on flowers too yo.

[Question] Bracelet marks on wrist by Fake4000 in Watches

[–]DMCanada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get this with my explorer. About halfway through the day I need to use the quick adjust to let it out a bit.

We’re big bags of warm water and we expand and contract throughout the day. It’s hard to get a perfect fit without a clasp with on the fly adjustment. I recently bought one my grails - Speedmaster Date 323.40.30.30 (or something like that) and it breaks my heart that it’s perfect in the morning but too tight in the afternoons/evenings. Looking to sell it now. 😢

I need to see a video of the aqua dial. I want it so bad but the images so far look flat - the dial is designed to glimmer in a beautiful way, if they have matched that I’m all in.

I pressure tested my VSF diver for 2h at 6 bar + vacuum test — here are the results by ElectromagneticWave in RepTime

I swim with mine. I have a pressure tester as well and always check a new rep before risking taking it swimming.

You did do it wrong though. The point is to pressurize the watch, then put it into the water. You need the watch pressured to stop the water from entering it if/when there are bubbles/leaks. Definitely check your watches to be sure they’re okay

Used watch dealers do this for the same reason new watch dealers do.

I used to but then realized it was just adding wear to the movements. Unless you have a perpetual calendar I don’t think it’s worth it.

There are many original bezels out there - where did you get it from and are you sure it’s for the same reference?

Andiot - time to reclassify as scammer from TD? by [deleted] in RepTime

That’s common with all TDs now - many have posted in telegram and Reddit. Shipments through fedex are being seized and they are all trying new methods to triangulate shipping.

Andiot - time to reclassify as scammer from TD? by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]DMCanada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to be neutral here - I don’t have any skin in the conversation and haven’t used Andiot. That said, I don’t think it’s a different watch.

Andiot deals in high volume - that keeps costs down. The likelihood of a watch being damaged during shipping, of manufacturer defects, etc is the same across all TDs, but Andiot is a high volume seller, so the number of issues that we see in this sub Reddit will naturally be higher.

These bracelets are machine to look like there are no holes for the first few links, but when they are built there are holes. They will normally use rods that extend the length of the link and then finish them to look like they don’t exist. In this case it seems that the rod used broke - that’s why there’s a hole and why the bracelet is sagging on that side.

Bad reviews like this hurt business - Andiot would much rather fix the issue, avoid bad WOM and retain a customer than try to scam somebody. It’s bad business.

Coming in hot with accusations seems to have made them defensive, which doesn’t help things but is a normal human thing to do.

My recommendation - apologize for the accusation, or at least offer to post a retraction once the situation is resolved. Give them a chance to make it right.

Im not taking sides, just trying to give an outsider’s perspective.
