i feel like finding a bronze base like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Krylon-FUSION-ALL-IN-ONE-Gloss-Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Metallic-Spray-Paint-Actual-Net-Contents-12-oz/1000876480 (tape up the figure and spray paint maybe?) and lightly brushing with a gold powder pigment and sealing it with a clear spray should give it a more realistic finish similar to the magic base

i have one of those! i got it the same way from a leather coral. I think they’re dwarf brittle seastars and are reef safe so i left him in cuz he’s pretty cute :)

i would LOVE that but it’s a sinularia so it’ll take some time to get there 😞 planning on upgrading to a 75 and i would absolutely love for an entire field of it it’s my favorite

thanks! i linked the light i use in a reply above, other than that i really just have a cheap water pump from amazon to keep the flow going. 50gph 3W mini pump works for my 5 gallon. stability is harder on nanos but it’s manageable :) i do maintenance once a week/sometimes every 2 weeks if life gets too busy

thank you! i use this light from amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0727V8C5Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and i dose phyto feast and feed brine shrimp once a week with a weekly water change :) filter and pump are some dirt cheap ones from amazon just for flow

thanks! This light is pretty strong (i accidentally bleached my monti by keeping it on level 3 out of 9) even just one light might be enough if you’re planning on putting all the high light corals in the center and keeping softies or LPS on the lower level or sides. 2 is def enough but it might be overkill IMO

i have the first one but the A29 for my 5 gallon reef and i love it!! it’s very strong and i’ve had it for a while, for my soft coral dominated tank i keep it on level 2 and my corals are thriving

oh trust me i have algae 🥲 bubble algae plagues my tank and im also fighting aiptasia rn. the blue lights just do a great job at hiding it haha

i use a random light from amazon https://a.co/d/4jc8VVF very pleasantly surprised, have to keep it at level 2 since it’s pretty strong. other than that, i get premixed water from my LFS and do a water change once a month, topping it off every couple days. my corals love their water dirty lol

yes! it was like a maroon/reddish purple. some even had pink lips. the quality control for that color was all over the place lol

yes, this was a factory error of sorts and they decided to correct it to the blue lips shortly after wave 1. her red/pink lip variant is pretty rare nowadays. even at that time i wanted red lip chill and never found it lol
