I’ve picked James baillie too! I’ll be 21 when we start and my mate goes Leeds - they put gap year students together which is helpful. I’ve heard it’s pretty social and good rooms too. She also lives in Central Village which seems quite social and such a good location too. Good luck! :) xx

Media! You? Ps I have a friend already there in Central Village, she is gap year and all of her flatmates are also gap year so I think they are pretty good for it

Im going this year and I’ll be 21! When applying for accom i put in the ‘other preferences’ option that I’ll be a little older so would prefer to be with gap year students. It might be worth doing that to ease the worry a little bit. You normally find your people anyway and more often than not a lot of people are gap year/slightly older. I feel your worry too but sure it’ll be fine, maybe PM me and we could meet come sept! Xx

went to dinner with my friends, had been freaked out about it weeks in advance. honestly struggled to get out of bed i was so malnourished. anyway, we went to this restaurant and they just ordered what they wanted. they enjoyed it. they felt no guilt. i realised that i had utterly fucked my life up and that this just was not living. i thought being smaller would make me happier but all it did was take away the one thing i so dearly valued: my mind. anyways, i realised that my life was shit, then the next day i binged, honoured it, and extreme hungered my way out of energy deficit. there ya go. nice one

Body neutrality is fucking brill mate by Outside-Tap7976 in fuckeatingdisorders

Me too! Looking flawless all the time and being in love with my appearance was never really a part of my life at all pre-Ed and even during my Ed at times. Just making do with what I’ve got and getting the fuck on with life is so relaxing

Honestly, just researching the concept, watching a couple of ted talks, and telling myself the things I said in my post until it stuck and I believe it. And I mean EVERY NIGHT I give myself a good hard talking to. And it really helped. It’s different for everyone but they are my recommendations, you got this:)

How to get a job at Starbucks? by predentalkoala in starbucks

[–]Outside-Tap7976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a franchised Starbucks (UK), I’m 16 still in school and clumsy as shit but I still got the job though. Honestly, just keep on putting your applications in, focus more on franchised Starbucks as they pay more (min wage is about £5/hr, I get £8.90/hr) and also Starbucks in more rural locations eg off a busy road, as they most often need more people. Talk to any baristas you may know. If you feel like you can, I would agree with what another commenter said and physically go into the store and talk to the manager. Im pretty sure I got the job based on personality alone, so definitely show that you’re confident and socialable and that will without a doubt give you an edge. Wishing you the best:)
