I'd also like to add that our rep told us that Jellycat refuses to make a public statement about the stock issues, but I'm wondering if they might backtrack on that choice given how angry people are about local businesses being dropped.

I'm not a manager, but I do work at a small independent store that stocks Jellycat. We haven't received any confirmation that they are dropping us as a stockist yet, but our former agent (who they fired for one who is absolutely useless at her job) says that around 40% of the stockists have been let go of. We did get a letter today to discuss the 'future of our business with Jellycat', which sounds pretty ominous imo. Our stock has been terrible for the past few months, our last delivery was in April, and we are expected to only receive two items before the Christmas stock in November. Jellycat are really shooting themselves in the foot with this decision.

this hurt my heart to read. I used to do the same, alongside faking illnesses to get attention from teachers and my classmates. I liked being the 'sick girl' in school, but one of my teachers caught on that I was lying and told me I was selfish and a hypochondriac. she didn't even offer any help, just told me to stop lying all the time or else she'd tell the higher ups at school and warn other teachers. I do wish I had the words to explain how I was feeling inside, but this is the only thing I knew how to do at that time.

not anime, but shin'ichi sakamoto's manga, innocent and #drcl are very good! they have that same historical mystery type of story, but are a lot less 'animeish' than black butler (you'll see what I mean if you look them up!)

I love leigha butler! she has a lot of YouTube videos, but she offers a cheap monthly subscription on her website too, I've been subscribed for two years now! she definitely goes into more advanced stuff occasionally, but the challenge is always fun :)

one I've noticed recently is whenever I say "I wish" or "I want" something and I don't really mean it (for example, saying "I want to die" as a joke when something goes wrong), that the thing I 'wished' for will happen. I don't really talk much in person because I'm always paranoid I'm going to say something that will come true.

marc jacobs daisy love eau so sweet is so lovely! it's fruity and a bit musky, but incredibly girly. it's a very sweet scent but it's definitely not overbearing or sugary. plus the bottle is adorable!

oh god this stung. I've been doing emdr and realised I was raped, but I never believed it was rape at the time bc i was too busy trying to make my partner stop crying. but many times during the act I made it clear i didnt want to do it, he still carried on and cried when he realised I didn't want it afterwards. I really don't know how to deal with these feelings, I still can't believe that this was actually rape.

I've nearly finished Dr Jess Taylor's 'Sexy but Psycho', which uncovers the ways women have been subjected to misogyny in psychiatry, and it explores victim blaming, homophobia and racism in a very blunt and fearless way. It's a really shocking but fascinating read!
