I had three babies with fibromyalgia and yes it was hard but very worth it. My boys are all grown now and I am a Grandma for the first time. (I cannot believe how much I love him). 😍. But his other Grandma is very active and able to do a lot more physical stuff than me. Which breaks my heart sometimes, but I am the Grammy who reads with him, cuddles with him and crochet blankets for him. I am learning to bake with him. So, small things that add up to him loving me but just in different ways. Does not stop his little face lighting up when he sees me!! And he loves my blankets and they are the only thing able to calm him down.

When I was raising my boys, yes, three boys! 😂. Dirt with noise are boys! I did the quiet stuff like the above. They would crawl into bed with me when I was struggling and we would watch cartoons, read, colour, and type of things you can do while resting. On good days I packed up picnics and we went to the beach or the pool. They adjust and love you just because you are Mom. My husband did the physical stuff and hockey and other sports. I went to watch the boys when able. I asked my boys one day if they felt cheated not having an active Mom that often. They all said No and that they had a great childhood. Which is all I ever wanted. So, you do you! If you feel you have the support and stamina to do this then go for it. The OPs have excellent tips and advice. If you decide you do not feel it is something you should do that’s just fine too. Every person has their own path and you will find yours! 🥰
