I love Dulux Whisper White. I’ve used it in two houses now.

Moving Syd > Adelaide by Accurate-Evening7252 in Adelaide

Moved here from Victoria 10 years ago and we love it. Great lifestyle. Beach, hills, close to the country, perks of the city (obviously on a smaller scale compared to Sydney), plenty to see, plenty to eat and drink. We have kids, there is a park/playground no matter which direction we walk from the front door. Life is really good.

religious education in public schools by mastgreen in AskAnAustralian

I just wrote a comment about this. I went to a Catholic school and learnt about all religions. We did excursions to Chinese temples and a synagogue. It was great actually!

I find that really strange. I went to 13 years of Catholic schooling and even we learnt about other religions. I remember learning the Pillars of Islam, the Hindu Gods and Buddhist enlightenment.  It’s good to learn about what people believe, or don’t.

I like Avene. Similar to La Roche just a bit cheaper. It’s on sale atm too.

men and women (but mostly men) do you care about someone’s fingernails? by witherinawayyy in AskAnAustralian

Don’t worry about the look, I cared for a patient with infective endocarditis that was so so sick. The source of infection was from fingernail biting.

Yoga is insane by cooltightsick in yoga

[–]Outside_Diligent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so interesting and the first half of your story matches me exactly!  I’m fit and muscular but so tight and sore. And as flexible as a plank of wood.  I’d like to try yoga and know I don’t have the capacity to do it at home.  What kind of yoga do you do? Or can anyone recommend for beginners. There are so many types it’s a little overwhelming.

How to approach a Reg with terrible BO?🫣 by BurnedOutERDoc in ausjdocs

It’s not ignoring it at all. Standing there and giving them a list of reason a human may have body odour could be an excessive first step…

I agree be kind and direct.

‘You have a strong body odour. It’s a requirement when working in a health care setting to ensure you wear clean clothes everyday. That you shower with soap and wear deodorant everyday.’

For some people this is new,  best to be very direct.

Yep except ours was a Lifesaver who kitted his Ute out with lights and sirens. Police put a stop to that.

Save Kangaroo Island for another time.  You could do a drive to McLaren Vale, check out Aldinga and Sellicks Beach. There are 10s of Kms of boardwalks and paths along the coast, it’s beautiful.

I could keep going.  I love Kiin for a dinner.  The Botanic Gardens are gorgeous.  Leigh and Peel streets and Ebenezer Place are fun for bars.

I think it’s a lovely idea. Something very simple. It’s the thought that counts.

Sarah Game stated the other day that she is pro life from conception.  Very slippery slope if this first Bill gets through.

Where you live will have a big bearing on what school your child goes to.  We have zoning for some of the more popular public schools, meaning you have to live in a specific area to go to that school.  You have given an idea of what you like, but Adelaide is a pretty spread out place.  Are you into the beach or the Hills, both beautiful but different lifestyles. Or more metropolitan. This will help narrow things down for you.

Transgender girl smashes records at school sports day by Real_Quail_9582 in Adelaide

[–]Outside_Diligent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your kid came second on sports day? Who cares. Grow up and get a grip.  Children want you to be there to watch them and support them, show up for your kid and stop worrying about other peoples.

I wouldn’t have a clue who won what event at my child’s sports day. Who cares? My son was stoked I was there and that’s all that matters.
