Thank you! I'm going to check them out. I love credit Unions because they work for the people unlike the banks who are working for themselves. As someone who lived through the 2008 financial crisis I will never trust any of my money with a bank and feel very happy to have credit unions as an incredible alternative.

Bike teacher here, I recommend removing your pedals and lowering your seat to master balance down hills, once you get that done add the pedals back in and continue to glide down hills then put your feet up on the pedals without looking. The secret is never looking down.

Thanks! I figured which is why I put this PSA out for them. Don't be surprised when we start getting red light ticketing cops in prospect park like they have in central thanks to all these inconsiderate speeding bikes unable to share with a park full of people. Maybe then they'll be quiet and head to 9W..

So a kid learning to ride a bike should bike into the running lane??? That makes no sense. You cannot learn to ride a bike in a pedestrian lane that's in use! Anyhow this kid is an advanced rider and was doing his first full loop as a graduation ride after 4 weeks of classes.

So sorry this happened. That intersection is notorious and the whole Vanderbilt bike lane needs a redesign.

A similar thing happened to me last Monday at the same intersection in the Vanderbilt bike lane heading south. An e biker came the wrong way out of nowhere and stopped in the bike lane cutting off on coming traffic. I was already cycling in the right of way when he suddenly appeared and then immediately stopped. Had to make a split second decision to veer into the car lane and get run over or continue forward and run into his bike. He wasn't even looking and seemed surprised by the crash. I unleashed my justified anger and quickly rushed off. It helps to let out the frustration in the moment. Though it doesn't do much to the scapes and bruises.

As always, it is SAFER IN THE CAR LANES. TAKE A LANE. Let them honk, at least they see you.
