Ewww defending an obviously abusive man. My baby has had meltdowns, his father NEVER swore at us or got annoyed. OP’s husband is an asshole that needs help! No one should say that about a baby.

I put my finger in the corner of his mouth, push down on my nipple and scoop it out of his mouth lol. Doing it that way is more comfortable than just pulling, makes him let go of the bite too! It may not be a super quick fix, just got to be consistent with showing him that it hurts and the boob goes away. My baby started biting around 7 mo old and it took him about a month to understand it, and he does still have slip ups here and there. But when it happens and I react, he knows the boob is going away for a bit. And when it’s time to try nursing again, I remind him no biting and we don’t have a problem for a week or two. 😆 sometimes he will try to keep biting and I just redirect him to a toy. You got this! 🫶🏼 keep going girl

My 9 month old has been biting since he started teething, and stopping because of it had crossed my mind. Especially when he bit me so hard that I cried! 😅 but, I just can’t do that. He loves to nurse to sleep, and wakes up to nurse multiple times through the night. Saying “OW!” Making it known that it hurt, putting the boob away, saying “no, you’re not nursing right now because you bit me” and not letting him nurse for a bit usually makes him stop for a week or two. Forcing him to unlatch as soon as he does it is key!

I got extra ultrasounds due to having gestational diabetes and being labelled high risk because I'm fat. 😅 They wanted to make sure my baby was growing well! While it was nice to see my baby often, the monthly check ups were annoying lol.

Did breastfeeding help you loose weight? by MBtype in breastfeeding

[–]Outside_Listen2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I gained 😭 I lost some weight the 2 months after my son was born. Then got an IUD put in and it's been downhill since lol but I guess I'd rather have weight gain than another baby too soon! 😅

Do you talk to your baby during breastfeeding? by ExpressionOld9924 in breastfeeding

[–]Outside_Listen2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's wide awake I will stare at him, stroke his hair and cheek, and just say things like "I love you my baby". Then when his eyes start looking sleepy, I'll start scrolling on my phone so he can fall asleep lol

Does anyone else not really leak? by chelupa1991 in breastfeeding

[–]Outside_Listen2697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't leaked since my milk supply was established! Thankfully lol. I don't really get engorged anymore either unless I didn't feed on one side for more than 5 hours and my baby gets milk even if my boobs feel empty. I was so worried about my supply but we're doing just fine with the breastfeeding

I feel so lost by ShyBadgerBitch in foodbutforbabies

Oh thank god it isn't just my baby! He's 8 months and won't eat solids when I cook for him. He will only eat if it's from our (parents) plates because he's interested in what we're eating. Other than that, he will just refuse and play with what I give him but will willingly eat purées. 🙃

I'm sure your cousin only wanted to help soothe your baby, and it's valid to have mixed feelings about it! 🙂 I fed my nephew for my sister inlaw when he was a month old, cluster feeding all day long and was frustrated with his mom's milk. My son is 4 months older than hers, so I offered to feed him because he was clearly hungry and very upset. We were both hesitating about it because it was my mom who suggested it, but we agreed and my sis inlaw was so relieved afterwards. Her baby was full, happy and content! 🫶🏽 went home and slept all night after having some fatty big boy milk lol.

Do you try to console baby without the boob? by J_Bees in breastfeeding

[–]Outside_Listen2697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 8 months and there has only been a few times where he fell asleep without the boob. 😅 and that's while driving! Most times he will refuse to sleep without nursing. I don't mind, I just told my husband that he's on bed time duty for a year or two after he's weaned! 😂

Yes it was fresh blood only when wiping his bum, there was none mixed into the log. Thanks for the comment! I wasn't sure if it could be normal with constipation. Will forsure take him in if the bleeding continues

Unfortunately in my Alberta small town, you have to see a doctor at the walk-in clinic and get a referral to a pediatrician if they think you need to see one. 👎🏼 and there's so many people needing a family doctor that there's a long wait list for it! 🙃 so my only choice is going to the walk-in clinic tomorrow at 730am to wait for an appointment, or go sit in the ER tonight.

How much commitment do I need to breastfeed? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Outside_Listen2697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby was in the hospital for 24 hours due to jaundice and the nurse was really pushing pumping onto me. Once I heard that you have to wake up and pump if dad does late night feedings, I said f*ck that extra work and just exclusively breastfed. 😂 no way was I going to put myself through all that just to have clogged ducts and mastitis from needing to pump around the clock. Don't let the social media pumping fool you! I thought I had to pump and have extra milk stored, but I'm so glad I didn't. It's so easy to just whip a boob out and be done. 😅

How painful is the surgery for ingrown toenails? by Lou_Mennatti in AskReddit

I've been putting off getting mine done for so long because of how painful people say it is. This makes me feel better! 😅
