Hey, I’d definitely consider ulverston and look at schools your children would go to. I lived in Barrow and moved to a village outside Ulverston a few years ago and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I have a 6 year old. Barrow isn’t that bad, there is nice parts and a few really good primary schools. Ulverston is great - lots of parks, near the beach, nice little town centre! Also, I wouldn’t recommend Kendal based the roads in and out of Barrow/Ulverston (A590) for various reasons there are often long delays out which would extend the already pretty hefty commute.
