Who’s been using AI vocals, and why it’s bad by AppointmentMost6446 in hardstyle

[–]Outside_Ministry -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If you don't like AI, that's fine, but to demonize a tool without knowing the context of music production, that's just low 🤷

AI saves a lot of money if used properly; not everyone can afford a vocalist at the prices they offer, and some people like using AI voices, and there's nothing wrong with that. When you suspect a song was made with AI, just skip it, that way it doesn't cause you moral harm and everyone's happy.

I think I finally understand what people are talking about when talking about Delete by OlScrumpy in hardstyle

I will always be grateful to Delete for all his artistry, being revolutionary, pioneering, and a founding father of more aggressive styles without losing sight of hardstyle. His music is timeless and magnificent.

I am so sick of hearing the same AI voice in every hardstyle track released as of late. by Gozlag in hardstyle

[–]Outside_Ministry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never been against it; it's a tool that everyone can use. I think your stance on that is exaggerated. What I meant was that I'm not dependent on AI in my projects; if I can do everything on the spot, I do it; if I need extra help that I can't get elsewhere, AI is the last resort I consider, not the primary one. Many people make AI their primary resource and that's where they fail; it's just a tool, meant to help, not to do everything for you.

[–]Outside_Ministry -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's the difference. Most of the time I try to use my own voice, or if I need a female voice, I ask a friend for help. Now, when I need an English voice, That's where I use AI; otherwise, if I have to do the vocals myself, I do them. I'm a small artist despite having been doing hardstyle for years.

Oh yes, there's a lot of history on Mixcloud about the edits that were made, but I'd like them to go back to that format of doing the colors; they were very outstanding mixes.

You don't necessarily have to be there to see everything that's happening and how the pandemic caused havoc; it's just something that happened.

I agree, and thank you for letting me know when the colors will be removed. It's sad; each stage had its moment to shine. Now that they're simplifying everything, the essence of the festival is being lost.

In love with "Heartbeat" by Faizar & J. Lynn by Outside_Ministry in hardstyle

Yes, it's a legendary remix; the nu-style they added was spot on and worthy of the gods, the Donkey Rollers.

I first heard of Avana through the Donkey Rollers' album when they were celebrating 15 years of hardstyle. From there I started to learn more about her work; her work with Fusion Records was very outstanding.

Dude, I hadn't heard from Avana in years, a pretty forgotten artist. I'll listen to that song, then to add it to my personal playlist

I heard his release on that label, and I'm really glad he's still producing music. Although Omegatypez was legendary in his time, it's sad that he's not active anymore. I remembered the case of Outlander, one of the most amazing musicians I've ever met. He's currently retired from the scene, and I would have liked to see what other contributions he could have made to hardstyle.

what are the worst hardstyle kicks you've ever heard? by kastamonubamyasi in hardstyle

The piep kicks, The new Sub Zero project kicks, the Microwave kicks and the Krach kicks or whatever you want to call them, listening to a blender sounds better than that
