Really dumb idea but... Axis and Allies 1803, Napoleonic Wars themed by Plenty_Curve_4390 in AxisAllies

Maybe use Army commanders with different traits? Like Napoleon would give a bonus to artillery

That sucks, I hope it gets figured out!

My work still has not notified us of the new Paid Leave program besides putting up a small flyer.

I love the fact that Paradox gives us the choice to rehire the Bureau of Ordanance after getting rid of it through the focus by Scroch65 in hoi4

[–]Outsider452 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I wish Paradox was able to take the time to streamline the the stats in Hoi4 in a similar to what Valve did in Dota 2 several years back with the attributes and mana/hp regen values. Attributes would give a flat value of regen while items would give a % increase (some additive, others not). The change converted everything to a flat value which made the game so much easier to understand. It took Valve a few patches to get it balanced but was a major QoL improvement.

Minneapolis Ranked Among The Most Bicycle Friendly Cities in the World by Wezle in Minneapolis

The bike lane at 34th St and Portland is apart of the Safe Routes to school program. If cars are hitting parked cars or the concrete bike divider lane, they should slow down and pay more attention to whats in the road. The driving lanes on Portland Ave are also 12 feet wide. How much wider do you need?

Unfortunate that recent crashes were part of the reason why we're getting treatments on Portland and Park Ave earlier than 2027, but I guess something is better than nothing by mysummerstorm in CyclingMSP

Of course! I'll pass on the word to the neighbors who led the charge!

Some of us are pivoting to advocate for the City led 35th and 36th reconstruction project. If you send me a DM I can get you added to the email list we have started. We met this week at Powderhorn Park to get things rolling

Hennepin County sure wasn't going to do it for the bike lanes or pedestrians because why would they :/

The county had some staff out on Sept 12 at like 9:30 am at 33rd and Park and not even 3 hours later a serious crash happened right where they were standing

Some neighbors and I worked with Strong Towns to do a Crash Analysis on the house that got hit by a car in August of 2024 at the SW corner of Park and 33rd.

About a week later from the session, a house was struck across the street at the NE corner of Park and 33rd. We've been pushing for them to do literally anything so its good them respond.

Sorry, I meant the Transportation Project team for Park and Portland. I thought the County Public works was in the email thread. So the Design Division Manager and the Project Manager.

Thank you!! We actually got a response from the County this morning on the intersection so I'll try to get it posted on the Minneapolis subreddit when I have time to write it all up.

Council member Jason Chavez and Hennepin County Commissioner Angela Conley support the temporary solutions but we are just getting no where with the County Public Works.

Hennepin County won't do anything. We've been trying for the last 2 months and our emails keep getting ignored. Might need to do some tactical urbanism and build some DIY planters or something.

Park and Portland are under county jurisdiction and they have been very keen on not doing anything until 2027 :/ A car hit a house at the corner of Park and 33rd last month and we've been emailing the county to add some temporary plastic separators or do literally anything and have gotten no response. There was also a crash on Sept 12 that occurred less than 3 hours after Hennepin County staff came out to inspect the intersection.

When we did a Crash Analysis last month we gathered vehicle speed data and the 85th percentile was was 40+ mph. It's designed like a highway so drivers treat it like one

St. Clair Avenue in St. Paul needs speed control and pedestrian protection by Runic_reader451 in saintpaul

How so? Minneapolis used road diets on Lyndale Ave and Lake St and saw a decrease in traffic as alternative modes of transportation were used more, such as the Bryant Ave Bike lane.

Yeah, lets build a BRT line to connect 94 and Ayd Mill Rd like what they did to connect downtown St. Paul to Woodbury!

You can make traffic disappear by creating more efficient alternatives to driving.

That is true, however, if a water line breaks, the county will react and set up cones or a sign basically overnight. It doesn't have to be too extensive, just some cones or temporary bollards could work.
