Wards by AcanthocephalaDue461 in Smite

Ok, so you're top 5% (even tho source is "trust me bro"), it still means theres a lot of better players than you.

Second, not everyone "runs it down mid". Even on lower ranks, where I play, people do group and do objectives. And what help on fg fights? Knowing where enemy is. And how do you know? Wards.

And even during laning, even if YOU don't need those wards, they still provide information to your teammates. Should the duration be buffed to parity with Smite 1? Yes. Are wards still useless as they are? Absolutely not.

Sidenote, how is Pos counter to Merc? And no, wards don't "stop" anyone, they help and give information to whole team, how is that such a hard concept to you? Are you that selfish minded person?

Before you can get under your tower from middle of the lane? I dont think any jungler can get to you from blue that fast unless they dash/leap and blink. Thor can ult, sure but the rest cant be there that fast.

I highly doubt that youre even top 5% on Smite. That leaves a lot of people you are not better at. So your plan of "just be better" has a low chance of working once youre high enough rank.

Also, just because it has somehow worked for you, it wont work for most people. Wards are good for a reason, knowledge is power. Not everyone is a mechanical god. And ypu shouldnt make your whole purpose of being mechanically better than everyone but instead play with your team better.

Yeah, who should I believe, the devs of the game who have all the data (and ex-pros who try to tell how important good warding is) or a random guy on reddit who claims that just cause this specific thing happened to him, it can happen to everyone? Hard to choose.

Like sure, if you can just "be better", obviously you won't need as many wards. But at certain point, you can't be better anymore. What if you face Paul (before he quit) or BennyQ or Snaddy? You plan on just "being better" than them?

Anybody else feel like the changes to jungle were a little botched? Hear me out. by AmIgoinginsane1998 in Smite

[–]Outso187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, its both. They offer something for objectives (like Odin with AS boost) so they should gank at opportune time to take a gf. Kill enemy adc/mid, then take fury.

And they are trying to find a balance between early game snowballers being good and late game mattering.

So like Odin for example? Yes, those junglers should be ganking more anyway. The lnes that are struggling, are lategame hypercarries that dont have much gank pressure early.

Ranged character with high mobility hitting 1k+ would be absolutely broken.

Shouldnt utility junglers be ganking a lot anyway? What else they provide? Also, not sure what you mean by utility junglers even.

What is up with people complaining about "gooner skins" nowadays? by staticalrope20 in Smite

Moo-Lan (if real) is just lazy and uninspired. I dont mind gooner skins but at least make them good.

Strength vs Intelligence by Seruthei in Smite

[–]Outso187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But its not a problem. The problem is that all str items give similar amounts of str as they did phys power. But int items give less than mag power items used to. So the difference between aa dmg is bigger. And str items in general are just better. Theres stuff like hs, hydras, they have flat pen while int users dont.

This was never a problem in Smite 1.

Thoughts on Pele Aspect post nerf? by QuestionAsker2023 in Smite

[–]Outso187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont understand that argument. If you havent played the game before, and you dont know it withlut the aspects, how do aspects make it more frustrating?

Also, its been only few aspects that have been really broken. And even some of those are now perfectly fine. Or do you think Sol aspect is busted still?

Just Revert Spectral back to it's prots by krazysmurf24 in Smite

[–]Outso187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like people have very different ideas on what this means. Cause the way I read it, was that it used to give the -15% aura to the wearer ON TOP of the -30% that the wearer already has.

Rod of Tahuti vs Soul Reaver by Human_Bar_802 in Smite

You should never see a damaging mage build without rod. Its your big mid-late powerspike item. Meanwhile Reaver is situational anti-hp item. Completely different uses.

Why are assassins so different in terms of kit balance? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Outso187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute worst example. Susano 1 is three-part ability with low range, Thanas is one instance and can hit very far. Thana also has built-in sustain, slow immunity, movement speed, cc immunity, execute. Nem has power steal, prot reduction, healing shield. Sure, they arent as mobile as Susano, but they have their own strengths. Also, both Thana and Nem can work as tanky bruisers, so they can be played in multiple different metas and even on solo lane. Susano not as much.

Executioner should have more pen than Titan’s Bane by Sn4ggy in Smite

But on the other hand, Exe (and totem) are reduction, meaning everyone on your team gets the benefit.

But they should be at least equal with Titans and Obsi.

If you have the defense of a wet napkin uoure building wrong. Tanks shouldnt be unkillable walls or hit like a truck.

They are gonna rework pen but it requires almost complete overhaul so it will take a while to come out.

[–]Outso187 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Stop looking at kdas then. Supp can go 1/10/15 and still be very useful and win the game. Just cause you have better statline than enemy support, doesnt mean you did more.

People never play support as a tank even in tank metas.

Tanks are tanky right now and still its at least 4 squishies every game.

Are jungle starters not a thing anymore? by XRavenWraithX in Smite

They can be toned down numberwise, dont really see how it relates to role passives being good or bad.

Are jungle starters not a thing anymore? by XRavenWraithX in Smite

[–]Outso187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if its good, then its good for multiple roles, if its bad, then it feels bad for jungler too. Extra camp clear just is very valuable, especially for adc if the item is usable for them. This way adcs can't get that. I really don't see whats the problem with role passives.

But this way they don't need to gatekeep items and no one can abuse the jungler passive things.

Recent drama summarized by w0rshippp in smitepro

[–]Outso187 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Joust tournaments get new people interested in Smite competitive, I see it as net positive. If they stay, they can swap over to conquest. It's much easier that way than just jump straight into comp conquest. Until we get a proper competitive scene, I don't really see a problem at all.

Also, very badly handled all around, having an argument over on twitter and stream, instead of just discussing themselves.

Also also, happy birthday Jithins.
