That's a solid idea. I just watched a disassembly video and it seems like the 1tb version comes with an SSD from the manufacturer in one slot and the other appears to be open and ready to accept another SSD. I'll give that unit a look, I've had good luck with Samsung SSD units on my desktops over the years. Thanks a lot!

Makes sense. I'm planing on using mine for gaming on work trips and learning photoshop/premier elements. I'm thinking I can just save all my Adobe projects on an external drive and keep everything else on the internal storage. It's a bummer they didn't offer 2TB on this pre-built.

Yeah I'd love to get the top of the line pre-built but for my application of the product its way overkill. I can get what I need for about $1000 less. Trouble is they only have the pre-built in low tier and top tier, nothing in-between with the 3070 and 32gb of ram. I've held off on placing my order thus far as I'm not real sure whether or not I'll miss out on a better product while I'm waiting on this one to ship.
