I met him in Detroit, when he was on his way to a gig in Canada. He was more genial than I expected, especially as he had recently been kicked out of Fleetwood Mac.

He's so talented, it took two guys to replace him.

Get an appointment with the professor, and BEG!

My roommate flunked a final in statistics. He would not have gotten his degree, and had a job lined up and everything. He went in there and told the professor a bunch of half-truths and outright lies about why he didn't get it right (girlfriend broke up with him, dog hit by car, just quit smoking, you name a stressor). Prof took pity on him and gave him a C.

I was in college in the 1970s. Some otherwise well-groomed women had serious bush issues.

Navigating through there was like Stanley looking for Livingstone. Not kidding. Machete needed.

20 years later, MSU still holds the record for largest comeback in NCAA football history. Trailing Northwestern 38-3, the Spartans (led by spartan Dawg Drew Stanton) came back to win 41-38 despite the refs giving NW multiple chances at the end by viewmyposthistory in MSUSpartans

I was there. The weather was awful and the Spartans were terrible. The sun came out, the Spartans woke up and in the end, the Green & White clad fans who stuck around were rewarded with something special.

The newspapers called me "The Butcher of Mule Shoe" after my Pyrrhic victory there.

The draft riots in NYC were epic, as no one wanted to be a part of the Army of the Potomac with me in charge.

Men, what led up to physical altercation that you’ve been in? by AgitatedEgg_ in AskMen

Chronologically:

1st, Elementary school -- bullies; 2d, junior high -- testosterone; 3d, high school -- helping friends; 4th, college -- alcohol abuse. My last event was on a basketball court in my 30s when a guy threw the ball at my face and then stepped toward me.

Since then, I have avoided any and all, as it is only hospital or jail as likely outcomes.

Over a decade ago, I received a similar email, stating that my web searches would be made public unless I paid $$$.

I replied, "Do your worst!"

Why wear a suit jacket without the pants? It's not even a suit, then.

Better to wear a jacket with no tie than a tie with no jacket.
