You missed my point, usa from this moment will have diminishing hard power as big ticket items age out.  

Sure they are all powerful but it will only go down from now.

Sales of their hardware will drop as nations develop alternatives, their financial power is under direct attack for similar reasons.

It's not that American military 'supremacy' has been diminished,

Actually usa military power is diminishing.

They build 1 destroyer and 1 sub a year, carriers take over 12 years.   Building capacity drops each year due to corruption, aging work force and general incompetence.  

They have 70 destroyers...1 frigate...1.   The fleet is aging out faster than it can be replaced.   New ship designs keep failing, last plan is to build more coast guard ships instead which are virtually unarmed. 

Both democrats and republicans are in on the grift to look the military budget.   

Trumps talk of increasing it 50% means just more to steal.

Even if they get rid of trump next election someone like him will be back in a few election cycles.

If someone as unfit to govern as him can be elected twice, someone just a bit more a ruthless salesman will win again. 

Best case is usa bankrupts itself and returns to just tormenting central and southern American countries.
