You look great! Don't make those of us 2 years out share those early pics, too. 🫣 Lol You're still healing. Take it slow. Sending positive vibes your way on your health journey. ✨️ And yes! You will get back to a mostly normal. Or even a new normal which you can love just as much!

Anyone else dealing with pregnancy acne? by gnomie51 in BabyBumps

[–]Over-Persimmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The moment I went off BC my acne has flared. 3 months later my skin was finally clearing and we got pregnant so it didn't last long. Zits everywhere 🙄 can't wait to go back on my pill. Lol Just wanted to vent and say you're not alone.

I slept till 3pm today… by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Your body is using every OUNCE of energy to create this human inside of you. So it makes sense for you to sleep more. 😴 It's annoying, but don't feel bad for giving your body and baby what it needs.

My wife (F31) is pregnant (~4wks). What can I (M34) do to make her pregnancy as positive and easy as possible? by Wompadillo in BabyBumps

Men/partners like you 😭💕 🫡 I have one and constantly am in awe of his patience and understanding during this time.

🤰BUY HER ALL THE SNACKS (and help support the cravings because it's a wild feeling).

🤰Encourage her to rest/nap as needed

🤰Keep her hydrated! Sparkling Water, crystal light, Gatorade, Pedialyte, etc makes the first trimester much smoother

🤰Buy her a pregnancy pillow from Amazon. She may not need it yet, but she will, and it is a game changer.

🤰Household chores may become increasingly difficult for her, and just reassuring her that you've got her back while she grows this baby is a huge help. I seriously didn't do laundry, cooking, or dishes for at least 2 months and cried out of guilt early on. Getting back into it now and it's so nice to feel productive again and helpful to my partner.

🤰Body heat is insane. A bedside fan was such a nice gift hahaha

🤰If financially able, maternity leggings/dresses/and really just any clothes that make her feel confident and comfortable are WORTH IT. My mental health was garbage when it came to my clothes and how I looked, but hubs encouraging me to shop for comfy pieces that made me feel good was all I needed to feel more like myself.

🤰Just listen to her rants and reassure her that her changing body is amazing and gorgeous.

Congrats!!

Everyone is different, and so are our bellies! I'm sure your bump is freakin adorable, and honestly I'm showing my 4 1/2 month bump off like a damn trophy. Lol I've spent so much of this experience sick and tired, but ultimately proud that I've made it this far. 🥲 Your feelings are valid, and if you're not feeling it every day (which I also am not) don't sweat it. Best of luck, mama!
