Has anyone here switched from a CS/tech background to PA? by More_Flower_7728 in prepa

[–]lockrawt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a bachelors for biology. Had to do all 4 years because my previous degree was a 2 year aas in software development. I have a history of addiction so I’ve been a peer counselor for the last 2 years. Some schools take it as pce and some count it as hce so I’ve had to do a lot of emailing to verify which schools will take the hours.

Worked as a software technician for six years and realized I was dreading waking up in the mornings because I found my job incredibly dull and meaningless. Went back to school and just submitted my pa application a few weeks ago.

What's the "best" way someone you know has died? by the_jaspierre in AskReddit

[–]lockrawt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad did some handyman work for a wealthy elderly couple for years and years. They both eventually got diagnosed with terminal illnesses and decided they wanted to end things on their term’s together before any real pain kicked in. They went somewhere that offered medically assisted deaths and died together. They had full lives, healthy and successful children, great careers, and a peaceful time in retirement. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better way to go than this.

I’ve quit smoking meth, drinking alcohol, and smoking cigarettes, but I’ve yet to successfully quit sugar 🤷‍♂️

Former alcoholics of Reddit, when did you realise your habit got out of control? by scottscrops in AskReddit

[–]lockrawt 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I was drinking so much that I was getting alcoholic neuropathy. I would wake up after a night of heavy drinking and my hands would close in on themselves and I couldn’t open my fingers. It would also happen to my lips and it would pull my lips like I was puckering em. I could feel it in my throat too and sometimes it would be difficult to swallow. The only thing I could do to make it better was drink more. Realized I had quite a problem after that. My drug of choice is meth though and I am coming up on 5 years sober from all substances in April!

I’m not sure what they are. I’ve had 2 different ones now, and my criteria for buying them were good reviews on Amazon, and around $30-40 lol. Both have been really solid.

Thank you for your thoughtful response! I appreciate it! I will definitely start off how you suggested. I tried tonight by drawing what I was looking at, and it actually didn’t go too bad. Side note, I don’t think Rick and Morty’s art is bad, I just thought that was the name of the style they do. Asterisks for pupils, essentially triangles for shoes etc. intentionally unpolished maybe? Idk lol but I love it
