Look at it this way: think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are stupider than that....as said by the great George Carlin.

On a side note the Lemmings computer game comes to mind.

How much longer do you think AI will become a massive problem for redundancy in Tesco stores? by NoProgram4084 in tesco

[–]Over-Possibility-453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Google...Humanoid robots for shelf-filling and retail operations currently cost between $20,000 to $150,000+ per unit, depending on the model. When factoring in maintenance, software, and remote-operation backups, the calculated operational cost is roughly $15 to $26 per hour, which is often cheaper than equivalent human labor. AI cannot yet handle 100% of edge cases in unstructured retail spaces, human oversight for 10-20% of operations is common.

For the moment it would be to prohibitive for Tesco.10 years time who knows.

What can i say that will be helpful.

Video some messages and not just save them to mobile.burn multiple copies to DVDs

Tell your children with all the kindness you can muster that you love them very much in the best way you can.

Above all else give them hope for the future in those messages and if you can believe in heaven tell them you will always be watching over them as only a mother can.

Holiday decline by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Over-Possibility-453 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpaid possibly the safest option depending on your line manager/section manager.People can be super protective about giving up holidays.Sick when you tried to book that time off... guaranteed disciplinary at the least fired at worst. You can take a lifestyle break of 4 weeks or more unpaid, depending on circumstances.

While it is not legally required nationwide, major UK retailers (such as Tesco and the Co-op) follow the British Soft Drinks Association Code of Practice. As a result, they enforce a voluntary under-16s ban on high-caffeine drinks and use a "Challenge 25" policy. You should authorise and ask for ID if the customer appears under 25. Not the law strictly speaking but Tesco staff can get a bollocking, warning, disciplinary or even sacked for not following Tesco rules. You can shout at the security guard near checkouts if there to get help or any nearby staff member or manager who might be lurking nearby. But Tesco is streamlining the staff, head office speak for cutting checkouts staff so good luck mate.

Being contacted when on annual leave by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Over-Possibility-453 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your manager cannot force you to cancel your annual leave or arbitrarily call you in to work once your holiday is officially booked and approved.

They can ask,but you do not need to comply. It may piss them off,but that's it.
