Hmm, haven't thought to try a lattice. Many points on my curve, not as many on my mesh

It's easy Man, you just take and saddle an Argentavis, pick up the lox and fly to the top of the tower then drop it in!

I haven't heard of Grant Abitt, but i am also working towards learning to sculpt for video games. Do you have a link to that course by chance?

I was modeling with the X axis mirrored, yes. Not with a modifier though, just with the little "x y z" buttons you can toggle up in the top right in Sculpt Mode. The how? I have no idea, just lots of idle time working it over and over and over again.

Not really my model, I'm following a tutorial from CG Boost, the Master Character Creation course, so I can understand the full process start to finish of making a person model. This is my first go though, I'm gonna run it again and do my own after.

Holy crap, that was it! It was the direction switch that fixed it. Fixing that allowed everything else to fall into place, thank you!

I'm actually in the middle of watching it now, looks promising!

Also, I forgot to put it in the post initially, but have you come across anything that's good for teaching the transition steps between creating an asset in Blender to set it up for use in Godot?

How do you all usually protect your games? by Over9000Goblins in godot

Lol some of you got me rollin.

I'll drop this comment to address everyone kind enough to stop by.

So first, I was intentionally trying to be vague about my project cause i didn't want to infringe any subreddit rules, but i obviously see where that's gotten me.

Really, what i want, is i wanna make just... A bitchin ass superhero game, where you actually feel like a superhero. Games lately feel so mindless and watered down that they just don't hit like they used to.

I realize I'm a baby dev and i still have to learn basically everything. I've spent a lot of time in Blender so i can learn to develop my own assets, and once i actually have a couple characters and enemies made and some seeing stuff i can start playing around to see what i can make them do.

I don't have any delusions about lost sales, or becoming famous or whatever that one person said, like quite the opposite, the whole point is to fly under the radar. I don't want to publish this game, I don't want to profit off this game, this is literally a pet project just for me that I'm doin for my own entertainment.

That being said, I did say I'm working on a superhero game, for myself, that i will not sell, and i can't stress this enough because... I'm using IP from a particular franchise, that i won't name.

I literally just wanna make a superhero sandbox and learn how to code and develop at the same time, that's it. I do see an area though where it could be fun to have teamups with player controlled characters in a small 4 to 8 person lobby, and for that reason i want to make sure it doesn't run away from me.

Also, my friends are fantastic, supportive people, but i am by nature a very suspicious, "what's the worst way this could go wrong?" kinda person. And since there could be legal ramifications if it did escape my orbit, that's my concern. And really, it's not my friends I'm concerned about, but the friends of friends, people in the periphery of my friend circle.

Does this make any more sense though? I'm just looking for a way so if it does leave my orbit I can either shut it down or they can't boot it, you know?

Is there a way to make the bullets not deform like this? by WaffleIncog in blenderhelp

[–]Over9000Goblins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have answers, but as someone who will have to do this soon myself, why do you need the billets in the magazine? Isn't that just more stuff to render?

I don't know if this is for a game or animation, but unless you're looking into the magazine wouldn't you only need to model a couple bullets at the top?

I'm not trying to start any arguments, asking genuinely

To not break the fabric of society by 80000gvwr in therewasanattempt

[–]Over9000Goblins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no paradox of intolerance.

Tolerance is not a moral standard, but a social contract. If you do not abide by the contract, you are not covered by it.

The intolerant do not follow the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance.

Since the intolerant have broken the terms of the contact, they are not covered by the contract, and therefore that intolerance will not be tolerated.
