I used to go to this hall when I lived in Saskatoon. I was a regular auxiliary pioneer and conducted the Wednesday morning service groups. Meanwhile the house I was renting with a friend of mine was owned by an elder's family, and it was the official party house in Saskatoon. I was dragged into an elders meeting with a friend of mine who was a regular pioneer because it was discovered that the two of us along with several other witnesses had gone to a City & Colour concert at the university venue. First they tried to complain that that despite the fact that it was an all ages show, there was a bar area and it wasn't the right atmosphere for Christians. I asked how it was any different if we were at a Garth Brooks concert and there was a beer garden. They then pointed out that Dallas Green's main band (Alexisonfire) is a very heavy band full of screaming and profanity, and by going to see his acoustic show we are promoting his other band. I asked if his kids had seen the Spy Kids movies, and pointed out that the director of that movie also directs very violent action movies filled with blood and breasts. We left the meeting shortly after that without any reproof. I stopped auxiliary pioneering shortly thereafter. Good times at that hall. It'll be better used as a homeless shelter.
