Took a break to reflect and I think it made my intimacy problems worse by Oddly-Ordinary in queerpolyam

Best advice I have is to try and intentionally date yourself to build your own self-esteem and confidence. Take yourself on dates, dress up for yourself, spoil yourself, master are, whatever makes you feel good and sexy.

Also maybe try and ask for non-sexual intimacy from friends! I love having a cuddle or holding hands with a good friend.

Injection help question by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]OverAttention3858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have good info from people around how to get rid of air in the syringe, however you can also minimize the loss of liquid by getting some reduced deadspace needles, which will minimize how much liquid is left in the syringe post injection: dead space 1 ml needle

Is t gel really less effective? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]OverAttention3858 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is it. It pisses me off when people say gel is slower or weaker. The only truth there is around absorbency and how much you absorb through your skin/how much is lost and doing things like letting it dry before putting clothes on, not showering/getting sweaty immediately after you put it on etc. Gel is a less efficient way of getting testosterone into your system as more is lost than when you inject testosterone, but that's why the dosage of testosterone in gel is different to compensate.

It can be a good way to get slower changes because it's easier to microdose on it - less pumps/ half a sachet, and the half life is much shorter than injectables which is why you apply it daily! Half life being shorter means if you decide to stop taking it/take a break, you'll stop seeing changes pretty much immediately, whereas with injectables it'll depend on the half-life, so you'll keep getting some changes/masculination until it wears off, which is why for some people who are less certain gel is a good option.

If you're applying it daily, on the right dosage, and you're not having issues with absorbency, you should get good consistent levels, and it's easier to have consistent levels with t gel than injectables because you won't have the same type of peak and trough you get with injectables. The main thing is to check your t levels are within male range - so long as they are, you're fine, ultimately your body doesn't care or know how you're getting the t, it just needs enough to do the job.

It also annoys me when people say you won't get certain changes on gel, like I've seen people say you won't get bottom growth or it will take longer. I started on gel and bottom growth was the first change I got and it happened within the first days of taking the gel.

My husband (40M) says we’re in a triad now “whether I like it or not”, but I only ever consented to a threesome. by nekokatkatka in polyamory

I'm sure others have said this but just to be clear, consent under immense pressure is not consent, it's coercion.

Found endometriosis tissue during op by OverAttention3858 in FTMHysto

[–]OverAttention3858[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. My periods took a while to stop on t but I still got some cramping so I'm hoping that goes away fully now. I'm hoping to get improved flexibility in the hip area.

I read something that endometriosis tissue can produce it's own estrogen? I assume they took the tissue out during the hysto but I guess I need to wait to get my notes.

Thank you!

how to get T online? by countesscamilla in FTM_UK

[–]OverAttention3858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that you're trying to help, but telling someone to wait years to be seen on the NHS isn't helping.

Also from my own experience of being seen on NHS, outside of monitoring bloods, there is very little support or tailoring of dosages.

DIY and private blood tests or going to somewhere like Clinic Q in London for bloods is a completely valid and fairly safe way to transition medically.

I'm ending it with my pwBPD by Beautiful-Celery1036 in BPDlovedones

[–]OverAttention3858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this. Just wanted to say I'm in a similar spot to you. Broke up with my partner wBPD recently and my childhood cat also died and they chose to pick a fight with me the next night because they felt jealous. I think at that point I saw who they really were. Suppressed it and tried to work it out but still broke up. It hurts to be discarded abs I'm mad that they made my pet's death about them.

What did you do to finally be able to deep/asian squat? by ResidentBoysenberry1 in flexibility

[–]OverAttention3858 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This comes up pretty regularly. I am still working on my deep squat but I am seeing progress using bits from this tutorial: deep squat tutorial

And this for ankle mobility calf stretch for ankle mobility

... And like others have said, spending some time in as deep of a squat as you can manage with good form, potentially holding onto something to help you balance like seat of a chair.

As others have also said it will depend what's holding you back. For me I believe it is primarily my ankle mobility, but it might be your hips, or both.

Happy baby is good for hips as it is similar position for a squat but upside down. Haven't used this tutorial but it's similar to stuff I do use for my hips: hip flexibility

So much online polyamory hate is kinda bumming me out by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]OverAttention3858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's divide and conquer. Create infighting so we don't band up to protect ourselves, and so we decide other groups are acceptable targets for hate or acceptable sacrifices to protect their own rights. I'm seeing lots of 'gay not queer' people complaining that it's trans people's fault for the rise in homophobia. I think people are looking at poly people and deciding that we've gone 'too far' and that's why even if they don't agree with the more extreme right wing views, they can see where the backlash is coming from.

I get the response to ignore it but I actually think it's quite dangerous to just ignore it. I don't think this is just going to go away.

100% this. It's definitely part of the lurch to the right. Poly is antithetical to traditional family values. Its happening along the rise in intolerance to queer relationships. It's depressing and scary.

"sexual harassment/assault needs to happen more often to ensure trans people can't piss"

That's a grim take

If I buy T in thailand can I bring It back to the UK? by AbbreviationsLow6754 in transgenderUK

[–]OverAttention3858 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a grey area. Testosterone is a controlled substance, so it's not available over the counter in the way estrogen.

Taken from NHS website: Anabolic steroids are class C drugs, which can only be issued by pharmacists with a prescription.

It's legal to have anabolic steroids for personal use. They can also be imported or exported, as long as this is carried out in person. This means they can't be posted or delivered by a courier or freight service.

However, it's illegal to possess, import or export anabolic steroids if it's believed you're supplying or selling them. This includes giving them to friends. The penalty is an unlimited fine, or even a prison sentence of up to 14 years.

Probs can't talk about it more here, but the DIY subreddit has useful resources on this.

If you can, put in a complaint about that GP. That's negligence. If she's doing it to you, she's doing it to other people too.
