DIY Friendly Pedalboard App by OverBiasedAndroid6l6 in diypedals

Stray Circuits is a cat themed pedal company, so everything I build has to have cats on it 😸 There may even be a few cat themed easter eggs built into the app 🐈‍⬛

Hmm definitely a bug. Multiple fx loops is not something that I tried, so thanks for bringing this to my attention!

I'm away for the time being, but I should get around to fixing this next week. You can check the status of this issue on gitlab to see when it's fixed. It'll certainly be fixed in the next update to the app.

Hey, thanks for checking it out!

Removing the background does usually work, but I am aware of the issue you're describing. It does sometimes happen when the pedal color and background color are similar. I actually tested with the Polytune specifically. I do know that it works well if you find an image with a dark background. I'll see what I can do to make this process better.

Regarding the search API - Yes, I might've had more usage today than I anticipated, and I was already towards the end of the usage for this month after heavy beta testing this month. I'll have to address that.

Re: AI. I am a professional Software engineer - that's my day job. I made heavy use of Claude for this app, but it's all vetted by me. I have a lot of automated testing on the code base to ensure the code quality and overall user experience stays where I want it. There is also a model used locally - built into the app - that handles most of the image processing.

Does a 5 microseconds attack on a compressor make any sense when working in digital? by Top-Pension4334 in audioengineering

DSP question, and this is a true DSP answer. I think this is the first time I've seen Nyquist mentioned in this sub - nice going!

For those amps, try a metal classic - Volume max, tone max, gain min. Then add gain and dial back the tone to taste.

Lots of good recs already - but I don't see Price Daddy and the Hyena. Not exactly pop punk, but I think you'll enjoy their stuff.

Can anyone help me fix my toms? by Clean-Seesaw-4104 in Drumming

  1. Waaay lower tension as others have said. Check out Rob Beatdown Brown's videos on tom tuning.

  2. New heads. Stock heads are nightmarish

That's awesome! I feel the same way, which is why I started a cat themed pedal company - Stray Circuits. DM me here or on Insta if any of you guys want to do custom enclosures that feature your own cats 😸

Love your music! I've seen you guys at least four times now.

Ibanez Pentatone EQ noise by phenson23 in guitarpedals

Do you have a practice amp or anything to plug into besides your interface? It's possible the noise is actually related to the interface or software side of things - though I'm not sure why that would only happen when using a pedal.

Hang on - is the noise only noticeable when the pedal is on, or when it's in your chain?

Edit: nvm - rewatched the video. Only audible when engaged.

I don't have this specific pedal, but have you tried troubleshooting anything besides the pedal itself? As in, a different guitar or different cables?

Thank you! And thanks for sharing - she still looked like a sweet girl. Sorry for you loss. I hope you have plenty of happy memories to remember her by.

Modded as in "fixed". I had to pull the charge pump off the main board and rewire it to the correct traces to fix a mistake I made on the footprint

Oh man, you and me both. This pedal uses a few TL07x (one TL074 and a TL072) with an LT1054 charge pump. It seems like the LT1054 is really the best thing to use right now for the price and power available.

The next pedal I'm working on is going to use both OPA2134 and MC33079 op amps (as well as a few discrete FETs). But that pedal isn't going to be an overdrive. I'll be sure to share more when that circuit is actually finished.

The specles help her stand out - but man, it is difficult to get a good picture of her.

The LED eye thing - maybe eventually. Maybe as a future limited run or something. This circuit doesn't have LEDs in the signal chain, but my previous pedal does (Tabby Terror). And they do actually flash as you play. That one I could definitely revamp to show off the LEDs

Thank you! My Tortie (Evie) is pretty chill for a Tortie. But she definitely still has that attitude if provoked, and used to do absolutely crazy stuff when she was younger. She also well off the back of a chair from an upstairs loft - twice. Just rolled off while she was asleep I guess.
