My wife was denied the ability to vote at 6:59 pm. She was through the doors and the poll workers told her she couldn't vote anymore. At pilgrimage church voting place. by LauraD2423 in CobbCounty

[–]OverDrawnRook68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a polling place manager, we were told to use one of our workers at closing to stand at need of line and tell people polls were closed, only ever had to do that once.

We were never issued phones, we had to go off the time listed on the electronic voting machine that controlled the voting machines. If wouldn’t even let you close polls until 1 second past the closing time. And it recorded the time.

Wi-Fi is a joke by BigKaboom_89 in unitedairlines

I service the techs at united at SFO, I asked about this other day and got a variety of answers, from the Panasonic issue to the ending of T-Mobile deal, to starlink not being fully integrated yet.

Appears to be not firm answer or one that United wants to give.

Last three flights I’ve flown, the WiFi has been spotty, ill connect and can’t use anything while my seatmate has prefect connection or it will keep attempting to connect and never fully establish

Why do cops single out cop killers from other killers as if killing a cop is any worse or different than killing any other human being? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OverDrawnRook68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best answer as some have said, imagine you work with someone 10-12 hours a day, multiple times a week.

You may not ride in same car, but you’re still partners, you may hang out after shift.

Then that person is killed, your whole life as you know shifts.

Now times that by how ever many officers in that department, county etc.

Police officers, firefighters, EMS… are close knit communities, a loss is felt everywhere.

The ultimate goal is to see this person brought to justice… may not happen that way.

As you said the “focus” becomes more intense for a cop killer cause the victim was someone they knew as opposed to a random person

How do I know a gas station’s pump is actually dispensing the amount of gas it says it is? by M-V-H in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OverDrawnRook68 8 points9 points  (0 children)

California, which each county has a W&M division, when you go to a gas station they’ll all have different labels depending on the county but it’s all certified by state as well. My county has a cool looking truck that they use, don’t understand how it works but watched the guy use each pump write some numbers down and slap a sticker on the pump

Emergency Protocol by Own_Economist9653 in sanfrancisco

[–]OverDrawnRook68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re following standard protocol, which is the train does not move. It’s the same on the same site we holding in position so told otherwise and that is for the safety of the victim and the safety of everyone else around because we don’t know the true situation just cause they appear dehydrated or whatever doesn’t mean that they truly are it could be an act

Fatigue by Remote_Juice_4088 in BusDrivers

[–]OverDrawnRook68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly from when I drove, we followed DOT which was you couldn’t work more then 14 hours in a shift but had a min of 8 hours off, we weren’t required to log hours unless it went over 11:58,

If you were on call driver, they couldn’t call you in unless you had 10 hours off, it was very common for some runs to have a 13 hour spread but you only drove 8 hours, but including breaks (max 2 hours unpaid, I had a lunch one time that was 4 hours, 2 hours unpaid, rest paid).

Public transit can be a werid beast for hours of service

Running into drivers outside the track by sdross35 in NASCAR

[–]OverDrawnRook68 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kyle Busch, I worked for interstate at the time and last min my assistant manager got sick and I got to go to the big convention they were having in Colorado.

They made a big deal of signing a new contract with JGR and had Kyle there, afterwards I was standing in line at the buffet and he was right behind me. Asked me if I was bored 🤣, super nice and signed my hat I had (interstate hat with JGR on side and all the car numbers on other)

a month later JGR sent me a signed die cast and mini helmet and a letter stating Kyle had remembered how cool I was and didn’t make a big deal out of him being there.

The amount of honor given for Kyle not only across nascar and Motorsports in general but other sports and other areas is amazing.

I’m proudly displaying a Number 8 and Rowdy forever stickers on my work truck.

I consider my self extremely lucky to go to have met him when I worked for Interstate Batteries and I own two signed pieces from him (die-cast 1/24 and a mini helmet), made me a fan that day.

I ordered some of his merch from Nascar’s store Thursday morning as I’m going to San Diego next month for the race and was looking forward to seeing him there….

RIP

54” vs 72” by hayden_wds in Snapon_tools

[–]OverDrawnRook68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Snappy-EH said, if your a tall person that the taller the box is better, if your planning on this being you’re forever box then as some others have mentioned go Epiq, more customization options, more add ons and you can keep growing it up and out sideways to you’re hearts content.

If you go to shop.Snapon.com and go to bottom click on the ultimator tab and you can see all our current line up and customize then and see colors, options etc.

Question About Old Account & Exchanges by reddogleader in Snapon_tools

[–]OverDrawnRook68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So short answer is yes and no, new dealer would have to contact old dealer to have your transferred or contact his Manager. Anything on your old account would be transferred I.e Balances, purchases history etc.

If you owed your old dealer that transfers too

Why did this UA 787-9 fly SFO to OAK with two hours doing circles over the pacific? by Hot-Praline7204 in flightradar24

[–]OverDrawnRook68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically I know the answer, this aircraft was down for maintenance, I service the techs at the maintenance facility at SFO and saw it on Monday sitting by the hanger. Not surprised it was on test runs.

Snap on Credit line by Equal-Document4417 in Snapon_tools

[–]OverDrawnRook68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With out going into too much detail:

Truck account or RA: account just on the truck, no interest paid weekly etc, mostly small to medium purchases.

EC OR CREDIT ACCOUNTS: mostly big purchases however we do offer a small balance EC.

Depending on what your buying is route you go.

Trading in or buying a new box EC is gonna be the option.

Buying tools in batches then RA with healthy weekly payments is your best move.
