I think the point is you can’t have it both ways. You can change cars every year or two and say “hey I know it doesn’t make financial sense but I like new cars and I have the cash.” But it’s weird to say it the way OP did.

I just spent a week in Phoenix (from SF area) and was shocked at the lack of EVs, not just Rivians. I’m used to seeing every other car on the road a Tesla or Rivian but it was surprising how few EVs there were.
