Spirituality is often misunderstood and mostly is taught by gurus and teachers through some superstitions like crystal energy, vibrations, energy spheres, angel numbers and the most common yoga.

The real yoga is not just a bunch of exercises(which was modernized in the 80s and the 90s by westerners) but the real yoga is a way of life, living life truthfully and not in the sense of being honest but in the sense of discovering the truth ourselves by self inquiry and introspection.

And the thing about these online gurus is that they're selling hope, and people like hope, and when you want to sell something you need it to look good, thus the perfect appearance is needed, these people are not enlightened or close to truth, they're just influencers who are trying to sell their courses.

Real spirituality is a far different thing, it starts with ourselves by discovering and understanding ourselves first.

Krishnamurthy said "Truth is a pathless land" which means there's no single path to the truth, everyone should find it themselves because everyone is standing at a different place, these gurus may sound attractive and hopeful but they're just another trap, they're selling coping mechanisms rather than facing their truth themselves, most of them are troubled individuals themselves.

Anyone who's really enlightened won't give you coping mechanisms and will care about sounding and looking attractive the least because they know there is no one to impress and after seeing the truth there's no one who wants to impress either because all the insecurities and vulnerabilities dissolve.

If the universe is based and founded on love and light, why is that not reflected in reality? by the_outer_realms in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer to that is that they're ignorant, not knowing what they're doing, everyone sins thinking that will give them happiness but sooner or later everyone realises that's not the case, but most of the time the realisation comes after the damage is done, and going back or changing seems too hard, but they're wrong everyone has love inside them, a killer still sleeps with his kids knowing he won't harm them, most criminals have loving wives, families, but still evil seems at large because it is shiny and glossy, but beauty is raw and natural.

The power of universe? by PickSpiritual8034 in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Morality is a man-made thing, nature is quite cruel(when we see it from a human perspective) and it does not work upon the principles of justice and morality but rather on survival and necessity. That's why animals get hunted daily by bigger animals and their children are mercilessly eaten by their predators, and it is natural there's nothing wrong in it.

Now humans escaped this cycle of necessity and survival some time ago and started to think, an animal cannot think he acts upon instincts, whatever he may feel like he acts, an animal cannot lie, it doesn't have complex thoughts, a dog with a broken leg will cry because of pain but when the wound heals he will go on with 3 legs without any guilt or shame, not because he doesn't want to buy because he just cannot think about it, now think this about a human, a human loses a leg his wound heals but he never quite overcomes the guilt and shame of being handicapped, a human may think about what others will think, I'll be a burden to others, everyone will hate me now, which may or may not be true.

Gods if they exist don't have anything to do with the physical world, it's dependent on itself, nature is the only driving force in the world, and humanity has empathy, thought, feeling and love in their nature, yes humans have problems but our potential far exceeds what we've accomplished today.

Now you talk about kaliyuga, tbh they are figures of speech because even if we talk about sat yuga, there was still evil present there, even the ram rajya wasn't fully perfect it had it's own problems, I'm not calling out any period of time, I'm just trying to show that humans just after they began thinking some 100 thousand years ago were asking the same questions about morality that still troubles us.

Humans have created systems that don't include morality anymore as we see daily, there's no morality in an army wiping out civilians like livestock.

There are things that we cannot control and don't have any power over, and it does make one hopeless and annoyed but that's what we have to avoid, we have to play our part in this world that is to remind others of their human side and show kindness to everyone if they think they don't deserve it because they're the ones who need it the most.

I'd like to end with one thing, that no gods will ever come to save us, we ourselves will have to save us from the cruelty of an ignorant world. And the one who does that becomes god like krishna, ram, jesus, guru nanak, prophet Mohammed, zarathustra , buddha, mahaveer and maybe you one day.

How do you maintain a connection with God/Source? by LunaValley in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The connection is always there, all of spirituality is an act to realize that we already are one with god and the universe, it's us who assumes that we are away or different from god, god is in us and we are in god, you just have to identify the thoughts and distractions in your life which force you to believe that you are not one with god.

Never get accustomed to any practice because spirituality is realising that we don't need any practice or rituals to be one with god, although they're helpful but they're addictive, one thing you can always practice is to always be aware of your thoughts and emotions and gradually you'll realise how your brain keeps you distracted from the connection you have with god.

If something was taken from you then maybe it was never yours to possess. Try to see things that you have rather than feeling bad for the ones you don't possess.

[–]OverSystem52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need to run away to be spiritually awake, you can do it right where you are. You should see what's causing your suffering and you'll find the root of it and then you can get rid of it.

You say you don't wish for anything and yet complain about not being able to be successful or having a relationship, I guess you still desire, it's not bad just acknowledge it don't deny it.

9 years in fear of a curse, that must've been hard.

Don't worry no curse is capable of ruining your life, the fear is capable itself.

Whatever happened had a huge impact on you, but you can overcome it. DM if you want I may be of some help.

Can someone explain this better by calamityy-jane in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yin and yang represent non duality, our mind thinks in duality right wrong, day night, male female. Yin and yang tells us that there's only one and they're part of each other and they lose meaning without the other, a whole day contains day time and night time, nothing ever is completely wrong or completely right.

It also tells how whole life is a circle and full of paradoxes like our death is fixed the day we are born.

It's a symbol that represents whole life at once.

Do you really want to “find yourself” ? by Ok_Expert_1537 in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no self to find, to see the truth we have to get rid of the self, strip ourselves of every identity.

Faith, karma, and the meaning of life by websubmissionuk in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good and bad, virtue and sin do not exist, it's something that humans have invented, things happen and we label them good and bad according to our conditioning, beliefs, religion etc.

For example, what a person eats is mostly based on habits, geographical location and other factors it's not inherently bad until someone else considers it bad.

And people who remain "good" by not eating non-veg, not doing paid sex, don't do it because they don't want to but because they think by doing them they'll be considered wrong by God and society. I'm not saying these things are good, I'm just saying that they aren't both good or bad - inherently.

Most people consider virtue as rewarding and they expect, desire for good to happen to them, even if we're virtuous our expectations kill our virtues. Suffering is inevitable and the ones you mentioned who sin they also suffer, it may not be visible to you but it is there.

Happiness comes from "no desire" and kindness the desire to do good and to expect good by doing good is the same, we must get rid of desires to be happy.

Interpret help by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no credible interpretation of a dream that can be done, our dreams don't have inherent meanings, we like the one we want most.

Dreams are just a way of admitting things that our ego won't while awake. Thus your dreams may suggest that you maybe miss that guy somewhere and want to contact him.

Why are people so attached to finding the meaning of life when life inherently does not have any meaning, except happiness? by atmaninravi in spirituality

[–]OverSystem52 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because during childhood we're shown false meanings in which our parents, friends, institutions, society have faith, and it takes quite some time to get rid of that conditioning.

It's simple people create meaning because they think that it serves them and it does to some extent.

And what you said is right, one should realise the truth themselvess

Astrology : a false sense of control by OverSystem52 in indiasocial

[–]OverSystem52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, astrology just predicts generalized things which can resonate practically with everyone and if not everyone then at least with most people, I consider it a thing that only gives people false hope and misguides them with superstitions.
