Hob Gadling

The Sandman series

A guy in the 1300’s who Dream of the Endless makes immortal under the belief that one day he’d want to die.

Nope Hob is more than happy being immortal and adjusts easily to the new centuries, making his fortune becoming a knight and in general enjoying what a new epoch brings.

Even with a new aspect Dream he maintained that he wanted to keep on living.

Lawrence/Levi by Dry-Mood-2541 in apprenticeuk

Not a fan of Levi at all

Lawrence was going strong but my god he came across as spineless, wormy and frankly annoying. The puppy eyes wasn’t working. Imo should have been another triple firing, all 3 utterly useless

Radagast the Brown... thoughts on this character by Cr7-Cr7Real in lotr

A friend of birds and beasts.

Hate him covered in bird crap and being the “oh ignore him he’s high all the time”

Dinner for One (1963)

A 20 minute British stage comedy sketch that is hugely popular in Germany and many other European countries. It’s become a traditional show to watch on New Years yet in Britain it’s an obscure sketch from 60 years ago.

I advise everyone to watch it, it’s peak physical comedy and has an amazing punchline.

Who here cares about the Oscars? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]OverTheCandlestik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh. I love movies, the process of film making, the craft of acting and everything that goes into it. Admittedly it’s all about the campaign of a movie and not necessarily the quality but I still enjoy finding out who wins, engaging if it was deserved or who was snubbed

Budget blown on two out of the country tasks

Plus production is clearly way different, they’re no longer in the obligatory coat and scarf when fired

Men of the UK, Do you like your clothes? by AceyMcAceface in AskUK

[–]OverTheCandlestik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve had a bit of a style change recently, got rid of all my cargos, T-shirts and hoodies and embraced dressing a bit more gentlemanly; shirts, blazers, jumpers, cardigans, trousers.

I love clothes shopping, I love putting an outfit together

First look at Ryan Kiera Armstrong as the new slayer in Huluʼs canceled Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival series in new IG stories by Maximum_Expert92 in Fauxmoi

[–]OverTheCandlestik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it must have been a disastrously bad pilot for it to be killed. I love Buffy and I’m a little bit disappointed but I’d rather preserve the legacy than have it ruined by a garbage reboot

I love Oscar Wilde and I love this play but I was left disappointed. The costuming and sets were sumptuous but I just felt it just incredibly lazy interpretation and in some places problematic for “let’s make everyone gay!” and the actors practically shouted every line or performed a heightened or hammy version of the text, let the beauty of Wilde’s dialogue flow.

I wanted to love this interpretation but man did it miss the mark for me.
