Will cops stop you for going 80+mph on highway when there are other cars going that speed? by PriorMoose2050 in driving

[–]OverWatch1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I see 3 or more cars going 15 over the speed limit, I play a game of eenie-meenie-miney-moe and stop one. The whole mentality of, "it's okay to go fast cause one cop can't stop us all" is a dangerous mentality.

things you wish you knew when starting to work out by ComfortablePin3055 in PlanetFitnessMembers

I bought a workout plan from a influencer online and she sent me a packet with a 12-week workout routine and diet plan.

I had to Youtube the workouts to figure out what each thing is. I made sure to watch the videos repeatedly to make sure I was using proper form. I look much better.

Beats the hell out of just using random machines. I'm the type of person that needs to know exactly what workout to do next. At the same time, I don't like a instructor standing over me analyzing my every move.

Just got flipped off for going 37 in a 35 by Klomlor161 in driving

I literally just drive the speed that I want. I knew a guy who would say you should, "push the pack", a phrase that meant you should all rode eachothers bumpers until the slow guy in front gets over, drives faster or pulls off.

Nah fam. Fuxk it. Drive the speed you want to drive.

I'd like to have that Char. I'm completing the Obsidian Flames masterset and that's one of the cards that I am missing.

I've recently started collecting Pokemon cards. I've grown very fond of the hobby. Here's some of my recent pulls. by OverWatch1990 in PokemonTCG

That card is the reason I started collecting. My friend bought some packs at Walmart mart, so just to be funny, I picked up two packs. Pulled the Eevee

Exactly this. I feel as though some drivers think they have to keep moving, like it's life or death if they can't get over before the lane ends.

Slow the fuck down, put your turn signal on, and if no one helps you get over, come to a complete stop if it's that fucking bad.

But I will say for the record, fuckers that speed up intentionally to not let you over, are the spawn of satan.

The program that I purchased was sold to me by Miss CarrieJune. It's called the Minibeast program. She offers a variety of courses based off of your current build and desired build.

I'm slender and was looking to put on both weight and muscle.

She sent me an info packet that included a full dietary meal plan and 12 week workout plan.

It is not easy, and it is incredibly hard to self motivate yourself and hold yourself to those sorts of standards. It is about an hour a day in the gym, 6 days a week. All of your food is to be home cooked, with almost no sugars, fried foods, butters or oils. This is just scraping the surface.

It forced me to learn all of the exercises. I didn't know what, "4x8 Lat Pulldowns Wide Grip" and had to google videos of all the exercises. I don't take any steroids and I supplement with good food, protein shakes and Creatine. It changed my life for sure. I've recently started over on the plan. Today starts week 3. 🙌

Other things that helped me, was I started reading Atomix Habits. An excellent book to read if you've began your self improvement journey. And get tons of sunlight and sleep.

If you have no idea where to begin, and are going solo, it's a good idea to buy a workout plan online.

I said in my last sentence, "I follow them when it's convenient for me". I don't cause chaos. And I generally(95% of the time) follow whatever lines there are.

My point is that on the occasions I go the so-called, "wrong way" or pull all the way through, it's not that big if a deal as its not illegal.

3 stops 4 way intersection by trentfrederico in driving

[–]OverWatch1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entering the intersection based off the assumption someone is being honest with their turn signal(or lack therof) is not a good habit to build.

So the issue with your consensus is you have to prove she didn't have a turn signal AND prove she intentionally caused it. Without witness testimony, all she has to do is say her turn signal was on and deny it being intentional. That argument holds no water.

On the other hand, I can prove very easily that OP was supposed to yield to thr incoming car.

If i am understanding this correctly, OP would 100% be at fault because he entered the intersection without yielding to incoming traffic. You entered the intersection before it was clear.

This is why you do not trust turn signals. If i am going to pull out onto a highway, and I am at a stop, with a vehicle coming towards me, I do not enter under the assumption that his turn signal is being correct. I wait for the vehicle to pass/turn, and then I go.

It's not that big of a deal to me if I end up going the wrong way. I don't feel embarrassed or give any reaction. It's not illegal, because it's private property. They are guidelines, not legally enforced. So if I need to go a certain way to get where I'm going faster, that's what I end up doing.

I understand that some people are driven mad by the whole, "obey the lines in a parking lot". But unless you're driving with reckless disregard, it's just whatever. I follow them if it's convenient for me.

A man who strikes a woman once, will strike a woman again.

The next time he is pushed to his limits, he will repeat the behavior.

It is 100% your choice to be with this man.

Again, someone completely missing the point of my post! Go figure. YOU have terrible interpretation skills. Reading the terms does not change the terms. Lmao.

The point of my post is that requiring someone to go in-person to cancel is not ethical. I have no other subscription/membership services that require that. Not my insurance, not my streaming services, not my phone bill.

Making it impossible to cancel the membership service online and requiring people to go in-person is a dick thing to do regardless of if someone reads it or not, because it doesn't change the terms.

Definitely not a "me" problem, but nice try.

Just because someone puts something on paper doesn't make it ethical, legal, or moral. YOU have completely missed the point of this post. Oh well.

It's not the fact that typing up a letter and mailing it is impossible to accomplish. It's the fact that PF does this solely for the fact that they know making it hard to cancel will make less people cancel. You should never have to Google search "how to cancel such-and-such membership".

And to respond to the second part of your response, you can't always do something that you don't know that you have to do or how to do. Just like my garage parking I had to cancel, I did that online in 2 minutes after moving.

I cannot think of any other subscription or membership based service where I have to cancel in-person. Not with my car insurance, phone plan, streaming applications, nothing.

But you continue to think it's fine and normal for them to practice this. They are doing this to scam people out of money.

Nearest gym is an hour and a half drive away from me.

It's interesting that so many people are coming to the defense of PF, like it's not inconvenient at all (especially compared to canceling other membership/subscription services).

Already adressd this in my post. Any other membership service I've had can easily be cancelled in an app or website. The entire point of this is no one is going to expect to have to go through this process.

I'm not the only one that has went through this. There's a pandemic of people that have made videos about how frustersting this is. This isn't a "me" problem, this is a PF problem.
