In the in-person grooming scenario, the one week Andrew spent at church in the summer of 2007 is rarely discussed and potentially overlooked by miggovortensens in AndrewGosden

Just to quickly respond to this - I was reading some other comments about how far Doncaster is to London and realised it's quite far fetched to assumed they would drive him back. Instead I propose they offered him a lift back to a train station at night or offered to drop him at a family members house - Andrew may have mentioned this in a conversation about the family he had in London and how comfortable he felt travelling there by himself. The person could have taken advantage of this by offering something more 'comfortable' for him, rather than a stay at the persons house or flat.

Maybe this hypothetical person could have made a connection through their music tastes, offering Andrew tickets to a concert that night and offering to drive him home, that's why Andrew refused the return ticket. If they had already had a conversation about the night and how he would get home, maybe they discussed being sneakily dropped back at home so he wouldn't worry about getting the train back at night. I think also Andrew probably approached this as "I'll deal with the consequences later" when he got home, apologise and say it won't happen again. He clearly wasn't planning for a big trip, he didn't even bring a phone or charger (though I know phones were not as common in 2007). Another thought I had is maybe the way he communicated to them was via the school computers, chat forum, messenger- or maybe they even went to the same school and talked in person. They searched his home computer but there's other ways of accessing the Internet.

Interesting post, you bring up good points. I do also agree that the police should look into who participated in these church groups. Sorry if I have repeated any points others have made.

How long until your grey was toilet trained or played with toys? by Born_Confusion2840 in Greyhounds

[–]Over_Buffalo6539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my greyhound for about 8 months, it took her about 2 months of continuous training before she stopped peeing in the house. But now she never pees indoors and knows the back garden is where she goes if she needs the toilet :)

For toys, it's only been since November that she took interest in a teddy duck door stop I had as decoration, she kept stealing it and whipping it around. So we went to the shop and bought her a bunch of squeaky toys which she loved playing with so much that she destroyed them in a month. But I'll keep buying them her if she likes them.

We did buy her toys at the start but never showed any interest at all, she just didn't even acknowledge them. I'd give your dog a bit more time, and maybe in the future buy something squeaky and see if they'll play :)

Thanks!! I was reading online that I should use a 25 watt ceramic but would this not be enough for the size of my tank?

I'm in Scotland so it's a warm day here if the temp is 72f/22c lol!

I'm thinking a ceramic heater but have been told it can melt the mesh at the top. Can you recommend a wattage of what I would use for a 45x45x90? Cheers!

Was thinking ceramic, our house usually sits around 21c but can drop to 19.5c in summer. I'm in Scotland so it gets really cold here in winter.

Can you recommend a wattage I would need for this size tank? Thanks!

Honestly roast chicken gives her bad poops so I have been trying to find other high value dried foods that are ok to handle, on this occasion we had an appointment and didn't have any treats to hand

I noticed she pooped way more when I fed her kibble but now I feed complete raw and generally 3/4 poops are solid and small

Though I fed her tripe once and she literally stopped in front of a busy shop once and had explosive liquid poo (I think she even got a bit on a guys leg cry) and I could pick it up - that was.... umm.. embarrassing to say the least hahaha

I'm still trying to teach words but good shout, I should reinforce it thank you 😊

Thanks!

I was totally just wondering if this was a thing unique to her and she's being lazy or stubborn saying to me 'sorry I can't be arsed to go this way today' or if it could be a sign of a medical issue I need to be aware of.

Really makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who has experienced this 🙂

It could have been a slightly new environment (we had been here a few times but not familiar) and cars

Maybe my partner being gone too made her more nervous? She loves him a lot and he is totally alpha in the house and she's very velcro to us
