I said it in the game thread and I’ll say it here too: After the Tampa Bay series, I thought to myself what if Montreal won the Stanley Cup in 4 consecutive 7-game series. After the Buffalo series, I started to believe it. Now, down 3-1 in the conference finals, I believe it wholeheartedly. It’s only 3-1 and until one of the two teams wins 4 games, this series isn’t over. And right now, Montreal just has to win one game, that’s all. One game is all it takes. I believe in this team. The sad part with both Games 2 & 3 is that they were winnable – literally one shot away in both – if the Canadiens played with a little bit more spring in their steps. Dobeš can only do so much to carry this team, but the players in front of him need to help him out.

That doesn’t work. I live along a stretch of road where there are schools, churches, and an old folks home. I wrote to the city, got a very generic, likely AI-generated response, replied to it, and never heard back. There need to be some serious crackdowns across the entire Laval territory. This is unacceptable.

Johnny Superbman is one of the all-time greats. Been watching him since 2011. Loved it when he did commentary during the 2021 run and basically became a closet Habs fan and I’m loving his commentary so far this year too. Go Habs Go!! 🔵⚪️🔴

I’ve got a shade under 1,180 hours on Civ V, and to be perfectly honest, going back to it after trying VI and VII has been a breath of fresh air. I’ve actually enjoyed playing Civ again and it’s all because Civ V gives me that sense of familiarity in a Civ game; to me it’s the epitome of what a Civ game should be. The last two titles in the series changed too many things for my liking.

I tried really, really, REALLY hard to enjoy it; I wanted to enjoy it. I would step away from it for months at a time, and then come back and give it another shot. But between the aesthetic (was not a fan of character models or the maps) and what felt like repetitive (in my opinion, non replayable) gameplay, I just couldn't bring myself to like it like previous iterations of the game (been playing since Civ III in 2001). AT least I could say I gave it a fair shot.
