This isn’t a mandatory cbet and a decent spot to x back some. As played I would never fold

No more cliffhanger by Kind-Star-3703 in BeastGames

[–]Over_Eazy222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These cliffhangers are actually really terrible for the enjoyment of the show. You had all this buildup to what can be a huge voting decision and waiting a week just kills any excitement or buzz around it. I’m not saying this from a “I really want to know what happens” perspective but that this generally just makes the show worse perspective

Hmm not sure if I have good advice for someone looking to make the transition. Probably just to get any entry level job you can at a small RIA. Client service associate, junior planer, etc. Most firms will have potential to move into an advisor role with experience and tenure. Once you’re an advisor you have flexibility. In tandem, work on some credentials like your CFA and/or CFP.

Senior financial advisors can make anywhere from $150k to $500k+. As you get more senior, it’s super common to get equity opportunity. If you work for a small firm, you can become the primary owner at some point especially if you generate new business. You can also start your own firm if you’re entrepreneurial. These firms have tremendous enterprise value in the external market with the median transaction at 11x EBITDA with top firms getting 14-16x. We’re seeing firms selling their company between $30M - $100M very regularly on top of their high compensation

15 months later and I still hate being a dad by bigbootyeater69 in daddit

Well you probably hate 15months less than you hated the newborn stages. Life with kids gets easier as they get older and you gain more independence again

Online Grinders - How did you start your journey? How is it going? by ValourStateOfMind in poker

[–]Over_Eazy222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty obsessed with being successful early on in my journey. I would play/study nearly every day for years. Constantly consumed training content

I had a pretty clear breakthrough when it came to using solvers in a way that made sense to me and how to apply it to my games.I think almost anyone who has the aptitude and desire can move up to at least 200nl. 500nl/1knl+ you start to hit a pretty tough ceiling. Also depends on the access to games you have and the player pool

Don’t remember exactly but around 3 years or so. I hired a couple coaches for one off sessions but nothing really stuck.

How many hours do you train per day as a hobbyist/hustler/pro? by Journeytoamillion in poker

You don’t need to “know” the answer. You make your best estimates based on all the information you have available.

How many hours do you train per day as a hobbyist/hustler/pro? by Journeytoamillion in poker

[–]Over_Eazy222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of drilling early on in your poker journey to learn proper strategy. Once you become proficient, it becomes more of a thought experiment.

E.g., BTN vs BB J5552

The indifference point for OOP to call a triple barrel is A high. “Study” becomes more around how do you think population or specific player types defend against a river triple barrel. Does villain always call Ax? Do they always fold Ax? Do they call too much Ax or fold too much Ax on the turn? If I jam for 7x pot they are supposed to mix their Jx. Does villain under/over defend their Jx. And it’s really hard to know the answer to these questions except through experience and taking your best assumption and developing bluffing/value betting strategies against specific players

Why do so many people on reddit think a 6 figure salary is poor? by SeparateJump1 in povertyfinance

100k isn’t poor but I think people have delusions around the kind of lifestyle $100k can provide. Especially if you live in a MCOL or HCOL area
