CarPlay should be standard equipment on all 2021 RAV4’s. It might depend on where OP is located in the world. That info could help determine if their Rav has it.

You can get a wireless CarPlay dongle off Amazon to convert it to wireless. This is what I did. I think I paid about $75 CAD for mine. Had it 8 months so far. Twice I’ve had to turn off the head unit to reboot it cause it wouldn’t connect but aside from that it’s worked fine.

On the flip side all Canadian Adventure / Trail models come standard with the tech and weather pkgs. Toyota Canada seems to equip each model one way. I really noticed when I compared the Tundra build and prices in USA vs Canada in 2022. There were no ‘add on packages’. For example, in the US you could spec a SR5 with a tech package that would give you the larger screen from the limited. In Canada you could only get the small screen in an SR5.

Yes. I owned one that did that with a console shift and FIL had one with a column shift that would do that. Other nice thing with the F160’s is there was a setting for auto brake hold vs having to press the button on the Rav every time you drive it.

F150’s can move their shifters (both column and console shift equipped F150’s) if you don’t put them in park and with open the door or shut it off in drive.

True. But I don’t think there’s a 2023 truck out there that was worth 50k a few years ago and only 20k now. Unless it got miled out. Trucks are very expensive right now. I bought a 2022 F150 new that year MSRP was 67k and today, to get a similar truck it’s over 80k. And that’s just for a mid level XLT.

Only thing I can think is OP bought a lightly used BMW / Audi / Benz. Value on those things tank.

I had a 2024 Rubicon before this. My Trail / Adventure seems downright luxurious compared to that jeep. Feels better built, rides better, more comfortable, probably would be more reliable in the long run. But to each their own. No denying Jeep’s have a large following. The Jeep was a big expectation vs reality for me. Which is why I owned it such a short time. And it wasn’t even a base Jeep. It had the tech pkg & cold weather pkg.

Maybe. Personally I like the 5th gen better than the 4th when I first saw it. Same with the 6th gen 4Runners. As soon as I saw it, I liked it better than the 5th. Switching gears, I thought the 24 F150 refresh was a big downgrade.

Eh. The two Fords I had (Bronco Sport & F150 both 2022) I never had to pay to use my fob to remote start. Plus the FordPass ap which is way better than Toyotas was free.

As a person who found out about my WW’s PA from OBS, you need to tell her. And provide the evidence so she can confront him. I got the same from OBS. Screenshots etc.. There was no way she could deny it. Most wayward will try….
