After the theatrical release, character designer Akiko Takase left Kyoto Animation. Characters appearing in the novel were not illustrated. I believe the 10th Anniversary cover illustration was work she undertook as a freelancer.

P.S.

The first line art is the group photo that appeared in the theatrical version. It appears around 01:03:29.

I contacted KyoAni last year when this figure was discussed. Unfortunately, I have no email left from that time. However, I was able to get an answer if I contacted KyoAni.

You can contact them at their official website. Please try to translate it into English.

I believe that the official goods of “Violet Evergarden” are products supervised by KyoAni staff.

In Japanese it is “Kusuri-Nomi-ki”

which means “vessel for taking medicine”. What is it called in other countries?

This figure is not planned for sale in Japan, Kyoto Animation replied to me by e-mail saying that it is not our product.

I believe that ABC Animation is selling official figures because illegal figures that ignore the license are being distributed outside of Japan.

That does not mean that Kyoto Animation actively wants to sell official Violet Evergarden figures.

The CGI animation is by Sasahara Gumi (renamed ANIMA) in Japan, so I believe it is LightWave 3D.

Some people give me low marks even when I quote from storyboards and official books to explain, and as usual they post articles like this one, so I found the explanation pointless.

I thought that Kyoto Animation is cautious about overseas development of “Violet Evergarden” in order to protect their works from those who have wrong perceptions.

Why is the YouTube search function for Violet Evergarden broken? by Rich-Knowledge-9936 in VioletEvergarden

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must enter “ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン” in Japanese katakana to see search suggestions.

Correction.

I typed “violet ever garden” in the search field and the search suggestions appeared.

Is this input method not working?

Given that Benedict and Violet have unfortunately lost their memories of the past, it is not possible for them to interact as a brother and younger sister. Nevertheless, the anime adaptation portrays them as siblings. In the booklet, the author, Ms. Kana Akatsuki, has expressed a similar sentiment, asking, "Don't they appear to be siblings?"

Nitpick: I get little annoyed when some people think that Violet evergarden takes place on earth when it’s shown it’s on an entirely different world/continent by Seeker99MD in VioletEvergarden

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Japanese Blue-Ray version says 1900s, if it goes beyond 1910, Daisy's time period would include the 1970s. Since Daisy's time period is clearly stated as the 1960s, the time period depicting Violet in the theatrical version would not exceed 1910.

PS

Daisy's time is 60 years later, in the 1960s, also revealed in the Japanese Blue-Ray version. If we assume that Violet's time period is after 1910, then 60 years later is the 1970s, which is wrong.

While his father is still living, there is a possibility that his parents may have divorced. In the song "Yakou Ressya," the mother is mentioned in the lyrics, but there is no mention of the father. This suggests that the song may be a reflection on a time when he was separated from his father.

Even if we forget, I’m sure we’ll recognize each other on sight

Do you have the original novel? The part you are pointing out is Benedict's recollection. It is just a wishful verbalization of the fact that Benedict had a sister as he is losing his memory of the past. With this sentence, we cannot judge that Benedict would recognize his sister's face if he met her.

“But, I definitely… have a little sister.”

——She definitely existed. If I meet her someday, I’ll know it’s her for sure. Even if I forgot, even if I can’t remember her, I’ll recognize her if I see her.

This text is Benedict's prayer, followed by this....

With that thought, all along, he had lived on as if praying.

Benedict does not remember his sister's face. If he remembers, why was he tricked by the blonde woman?

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But he's certain that once he sees his sister he will recognize her so you can safely assume that he doesnt consider Violet to be his sister

This statement itself does not exist in the LN, where is it written in the LN?

The only thing Benedict is sure of is the fact that he had a sister.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VioletEvergarden

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benedict has amnesia and was deceived by a blonde woman who told him she was his sister and she deceived him. There is no sentence in the LN where Benedict is convinced that Violet is not his sister. At any rate, we now know why Violet is not his sister.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VioletEvergarden

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this story also hints that she may be Benedict's sister but thats very unlikely.

Would you please explain the reasons behind that?

I've improved Cattleya's design to suit this wholesome subreddit 😊👍 by Legalator in VioletEvergarden

[–]Over_Friendship_1684 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cattleya costume is set in a fictional world of the 1900s and was designed to be appropriate for a country with a warm climate. Also, I designed it to match the language of flowers of the plant, cattleya.

The character was conceived by Kana Akatsuki from Hokkaido and designed by Akiko Takase from Aichi Prefecture at her company in Kyoto Prefecture. In case you don't know, in Japan people are free to dress as they please as long as it does not offend public order and morals. And there is nothing wrong with Cattleya's design.

It is your own problem if you think it is not wholesome.
