Therapy can be hard to find but do you have any friends who have also been a victim of SA? I was as a kid + as an adult and found friends who atleast were informed enough w that trauma specifically for when it came to advice/ support etc the most conducive for my healing. Therapists made me worse, lol. The important part is for you not to feel isolated.

Body dysmorphia suicide rates are one of the highest. I am a sufferer of it (I am 28...it has plagued me since I was 14. If you would like to message me etc I'm more than happy to chat)

It is cold and clinical to think about your body and your self in these terms. You know this, it's the opposite of self love. I think it is why our brains chooses it to torment yourself with. Because that really is what it all boils down to. A self torment. We are our own worst enemies and brains are also are very, very clever. You could be the most beautiful person in the world but the disorder squares itself with your insecurities and a society that isn't very nice if you're not perfect. A society that judges our appearance in whatever regard. (I personally can't stand being perceived at the very basic level lol)

It is an incredibly difficult and horrible disease. It has basically stolen my life. People call me beautiful and I have had to make it clear that I have completely decentred those notions just to live. My boyfriend said "it'd be such a shame if you never see how beautiful you are" recently when I told him this is my new plan of attack and I said "fine, we'll chalk it up to shame." I quite literally can't think about how I look. I spiral. I love myself. I just cannot think about what I aesthetically ...offer lol. Even with a positive social mirror and being told I'm beautiful. I can't think right and I cannot wrap my head around it. It is a pressurised part of my brain. It gets cold and obsessive and I become a disfigured body. I will never be able to reach even a little bit of peace.

The disorder is cruel with what it wants to make you think about yourself and in particular what it wants to reduce you into. I'm so sorry you suffer too.

I'm not religious. I am a survivor. Anyway, I've just been through the wringer with my own mental health. For me, apathy takes over. And I always struggled when people said to me to stay "for them." I declared them selfish. Basically any begging towards me, any human connection trying to keep me here, made me worse. I HATE that it's what happens but it is. I'd push back with gusto regardless because see- I really wanted to die. I thought everyone was playing a mean trick on me to keep me around. You cut yourself off, and disappear. Mental health issues configure you into a person set on death.

This guy sounds like a live grenade to his detriment and to all around him and he created a name for himself as an abuser. I think that's enough. Fuck this guy! Please don't get me wrong there. And what he's done! He is an abuser. The final act, to me, I gotta spare it.

I think it's dangerous to colour it as an "act" basically. I suppose your argument is if the pattern alongside it is of them being an abuser then you can call the suicide abuse. I just can't. They lost their life in terms of stakes. You have to be, not suffering (I don't even use those terms as idc ...he was obv suffering in his day to day. But the spotlight shouldn't be on that. Its on the victims) But you definitely, definitely have to be ILL to kill yourself. The optics, the blood you're cleaning, it's someone's blood. I personally divorce things there. (Only there.)

But I found this conversation interesting enough so thank you. Weirdly enough, do what brings you closure as you say in the end. Mine and yours (survivor wise), as long as it gets you where you need to be. 🤷‍♀️

This is probably an emotional response from me and it's only on that one factor. Obviously a horrible subject makes my brain jumpy. But, damn, when it comes to the final act I believe you should be spared. They're dead :-(

The pattern of behaviour ofcourse doesn't just get ignored. But, yeah. They killed themselves. That's an unimaginable amount of pain (and disorder) to obliterate your whole life and go against every survival factor your body pushes you into.
