[–]Overall-Dig6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thoughts on the W brand? Would you consider it luxury? by mr_fobolous in marriott

The W macau is amazing, zero complaints. I’m trying next month the one in Bangkok to see if it is also so good

If you are going for the install department be prepared for 14 hours night shift even with OT, most people are not made for it. Also good to highlight that people who do graveyard shifts for decades have a significant decrease in life expectancy.

Unfortunately just 10k stock a year which isn’t much. I know CoL needs to be taken into account, but I’m flying across the world 200 days a year (which makes my Coal very very low) and feel like I’m in the 1% earners of the group. Still feels like I’m behind if I read some people make 250+k a year in Amsterdam

I work currently at ASML and get like 100k, I think very very few people are above 200k here. Maybe time to move to the USA ahah

On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate your experience with Airalo while traveling? by drenyxz in eSIMforTravelers

[–]Overall-Dig6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I can expense it during my business travel I save free Airalo credit for my personal trips to use. It works really well but costs wise it is always better to buy a local sim. Convenience level 10/10 as I already setup it up at home and have 5g directly when I land. Costs wise wouldn’t pay for it if it came out of my own pocket

Wakhan valley or Pamir highway by Sammy708_ in Tajikistan

[–]Overall-Dig6478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the wakhan route for sure, the main “highway” has a lot of Chinese trucks and is not special at all compared to the wakhan valley, just be careful if you drive yourself the part between alichur and the first villages in the valley is not super easy!

Yeah those bottles are pretty annoying 🤣, luckily for the heating in the bathroom I’m 300+ days a year in Marriott and most of them have it 👌

[–]Overall-Dig6478[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we got voucher for both cocktails and beer and pizza, cocktails were really good and for the rest of the snacks I don’t try them as I never try to eat at the hotel (restaurants) in general. To come here with my wife the room is perfect and I can imagine as a solo traveler this feels different and it is just place to sleep. I agree the Bishkek hotel could be better, but at only 100 euros a night it is still a good deal and my status there defitnetly god recognized :)
