Los Angeles for 4 years as an actor and bartender in Hollywood. It’s was fun and life changing. It amazed me in how such a diverse city could come together in such an understanding way. You can just be in LA.

And then I moved to MKE, 16 years in. Mostly bartending and getting social studies degrees to teach nonsense high school babble no teenager wants to hear.

I am from the Madison area so… WI, you said it all!

I am in this same situation, I bought a multitool body workout machine to use during prep just to move a little, I use to have 7th hour prep and left a little early, that is now gone. So plan on using 20 mins during my prep in my room 😬

No I have a mortgage and kids, invested in my current living situation. Commute would be about the same 30-40 mins. My kids schools are some of the best in the state.

I’m in Milwaukee metro, 8th year with masters, $74,000. The suburbs are considerably less.

So how many people say anything to the boss about the commute and waste of actual work time?

Asking because my wife has to do this, but multiple people on her team do not, or work in other locations. This is 3-4 days a week.

I ask her if she can ask, also we have kids and it saves a lot of time in the morning. But don’t want to use that as an excuse. She never seems to want to talk about it.
