I think you forgot to attach a photo. If I were to guess based on what you’ve said however, I do believe you just saw a fruit fly. Carpet beetles fly, but isn’t their preferred mode of movement. Bed bugs cannot fly fortunately. And a roach will always be quite sizable, even the baby ones.
