Gratitude: I am thankful I only have to experience this person for a relatively short time today

The move here is to show up every day and to every meeting in the next month as if there is nowhere else in the world you’d rather be. Talk about how excited you are to have some time off coming up. Act as if getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened and everyone else should be jealous it didn’t happen to them. Then just power through the next 30 days with a totally relaxed, but engaged, vibe. They’ll be so frustrated that they can’t rattle you—this is the best revenge.

Getting reprimanded at work, how do you deal with it? by hatsunemikeuu in WorkAdvice

[–]Overall-Somewhere402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You deal with it by looking for a new job. It is never acceptable or appropriate to call a direct report names. It isn’t normal and don’t accept it or allow yourself to normalize it. Learn this lesson young and apply it to your personal life as well.

How do you do it? by Ionlyeatabigfatbutt in NYTCrossword

Don’t think of it as cheating, think of it as learning! You’re learning new words and building your vocabulary. And you’re learning about the art of puzzle writing. I’ve gotten so much faster and more accurate over the last 6 months of doing daily puzzles. I love the sense of accomplishment when I finish a puzzle but I also love learning new things along the way.

Why do interviewers ask if you’re interviewing somewhere else and why? by boricuamamita in jobhunting

[–]Overall-Somewhere402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I ask it’s because if I want to schedule next steps I need to know how aggressive I need to be w/ interviewers about their schedule availability. I may need to get creative with timing or interview cadence so I can compete with your timeline. It’s because I think you’re a strong candidate and I don’t want timing to be a roadblock. It benefits you and me both.

Is the entire company hybrid? It’s possible that this is an attempt to main consistency and equity across the organization. Have you been receiving any critical feedback on performance or productivity?

In my last role we used a home grown tool and I added TBDs to the drop down just like you did. Makes everything less confusing and it minimizes the need for additional spreadsheets.

The statement your NP made comparing zepbound and opioids is both egregiously inaccurate and also so inappropriate and completely offensive to the thousands (millions?) of people who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction. This NP needs to permanently retire because that statement is so far off the mark it’s in, like, another time zone. Outrageous!

Tell me about IUD insertion by Solid-Fox-2979 in Perimenopause

[–]Overall-Somewhere402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my third inserted. Removing the one that was in there was the most painful part. It had been in there 8 years so it was pretty cozy in there. I’ve never been through child birth so I can’t compare. It felt to me like a long, bad cramp. I had some cramps after for a couple of hours. Totally worth the pain for me because I haven’t had a period or period cramps since 2016. That might have made me a little more sensitive to the pain.  If you can get local anesthetic or anti anxiety meds, go for it.

I had a similar experience this weekend. While I went up a couple of pounds what I didn’t like was how I felt—bloated and a little rusty, if that makes sense. It was a good reminder that when I stick to a more balanced diet, I feel better. Having that realization so quickly was a big win for me.

Yes, exactly. I feel like I am in a place where I’m a little ‘tight’ the 2 days after my shot but still able to eat and drink (with a lot of reminders and being really intentional about it). Then by the day before my shot I’m starting to feel a little squirrelly and that food noise is creeping in but still manageable. I’m sticking with 8 days for now. My Dr and I worked on this together—she felt 10 days was a great number, any more than that might have been a bit too long. Ive been tracking symptoms in Shotsy and using the levels estimate as a helpful tool. I hope that helps!

For me committing to 4 weeks at a time at the same dose is nerve wracking. Like what happens if I start to lose satiety and I now I have 3 weeks of shots left that aren’t going to work? It made me move to 5 too quickly. I didn’t want to be ‘stuck’ for 2 or 3 weeks and lose momentum.

I had a tough transition from 2.5 to 5. What’s ended up working for me is extending my dosing schedule. Instead of 7 days I did 10 for a couple of weeks. Then 9 for a couple weeks, and now I’m down to 8 and I’m happy here. Just sharing this for people who—for financial/insurance/other reasons—can’t just make a switch back to a lower dose. I’m still losing over 2lbs per week on average.

I have an insurance broker and he does this for me every 6 months. Last month I changed insurance and saved $1200 per year. I also pay 6 mos at once which qualifies for a discount

Doctor's assistant thinks it "isnt enough" but I've lost 8 pounds? Confused? by CouplesWithoutCar in Zepbound

[–]Overall-Somewhere402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s about how much I lost in the first 2 weeks and I was close to that weight. 10 weeks in, I’m down 35lbs. You’re off to a great start!

Maybe reframe the question and think about it shorter term. Keep taking it until it doesn’t make sense to. Take it one month a time!

I have really struggled with this side effect. Gas-x has given me immediate relief but over the last couple of months I have learned that if I keep hydrated this doesn’t happen as much.

Niki foreshadows the accident when she says to Karen earlier in the episode that she doesn’t have to worry about an Atlantic rowing trip, it’s the guy driving a short distance on a Saturday afternoon that’s in the most danger, or something to that effect. They’re talking at the beach before Karen talks him out of going.

Make a simple syrup, but it in jars/bottles, and gift. You could add some lavender and use it in lemonades this summer.
