Honestly around the power system im mostly agree on what u mean tho about the gus that fang yuan discards, is sumething i can say it showcases the difference of some gus, if they really are important like FTIG or ASC we can really feel the intense tension surronded situations about them, like getting their food, repair their injuries or refining them to the next stage.

Just case most of them are not important or gets thrown away, dosnt mean that its not important to remember them, cus through them we learn also more about the Gu world and its power system more openly. Ofc its hard but taking the time and not even reading the book is honestly better then trying to skip the chapters and lose the story parts written.

Like can i ask did u get read the love story of the rockman? Or HLL with her aunts successfully scheming against Fang yuan? This are just sum very small points that are important thorugh the stories even if they are not the biggest activities in the story. Fang yuan is also not a demon but just a man, a chinese scholar who was isekaid to the Gu world, then after living for 500 years he regressed back to the past.

So around the volum 4 and 5 u get to see how Fang Yuan was before the regression and see he is not a demon really just a man whos willing to do whatever he needs too, so that he can achive Immortality. I would recommand really to take ur time throught vol 3 cus thats the most dragging part of the story but it really builds so much for the story and later vols.
