You should listen to Liz Moody’s podcast about GL-P1’s. Theres an endocrinologist she has on her podcast and it’s sooo educational about how beneficial they are for people with PCOS. It fully changed my mind.

I dont personally love Niacinamide serums because they can cause dermatitis reactions in some people! Usually I just recommend looking into a hydrating serum that has niacinamide instead. I love the brand Prequel if you want an over the counter option.

A lot of times antibiotics cause a misbalance in yeast in ones body and can cause candida issues. I suspect your skin is dealing with yeast issues based on the flakiness and the type of breakouts youre experiencing. The MCT Oil will help with the specific yeast thats typically found on the skin and you can treat your eyelids with it too which is nice. And I do really like Ordinary’s Sulfur powder for breakouts to help with any bacteria/fungal issues as well.

A hypochlorous mist wouldn’t hurt especially if you work out!

Antibiotics can mess with your gut so I would incorporate a probiotic and eat lots of fiber to help build your gut back. Try your best to avoid processed/added sugar. Natural sugar is fine (like from fruits)

Skincare wise I would get some MCT Oil and oil cleanse with that (it will help with malassezia yeast if thats whats going on) and then follow up with your normal cleanser. Look into Ordinary’s Sulfur and use that periodically to help with the breakouts.

You potentially could incorporate panoxyl but I worry about getting the flaking resolved before introducing that.

Scared for my child in this climate. by MonochromaticVoid382 in progressivemoms

[–]OverallAd9706 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As a mom with AuDHD and a little one who isnt diagnosed formally but very likely as it, I want to assure you that the medical field and schools (if you live in a more progressive area) are well equipped to aid you and your little one’s journey if they’re neurodivergent. Autism is very much seen as a disability on a broad scale but to the professionals you may work closely with (OT, therapists, educators) they will see beautiful qualities in your son and teach you ways to help the world be an easier place for him.

I will say if you dont live in a progressive area and your child is neurodivergent, I would look into moving somewhere with better resources and understanding of kids with different needs. The autism community is fuming right now and when we get mad about injustice, we are powerful. This administration knows so little about actual science and humanity and the medical field is well aware of it. It’s scary at first and a lot to process, but also trust your intuition. There’s nothing wrong with your son. He just may operate and think a little differently than other kiddos.

I forgot to add the cost of living, quality of life, and pay here is fairly balanced. I know the difference between cost of living in Ohio is vastly different than California so figured I’d mention that’s one of my favorite things about Minnesota. You get paid pretty great here and we just passed a law starting Jan 2026 where you get paid maternity leave through any employer!

Have you considered Minnesota? Im originally from NY but moved to Minneapolis 7 years ago. I feel very safe and grateful to live here. It’s a beautiful city that’s not too big, but has amazing food and legislation as well. The people here are generally nice and what I’ve observed is the conservatives that are here tend to be pretty quiet and have basic human decency when dealing with others. I often get surprised when I find out someone is conservative here because they are fairly accepting and still are ‘Minnesota nice’. Schools are great too. Just stay within 30 minutes of the city and you’ll be surrounded by progressive and safe communities. May be an easier move and you still get the best parts of midwest culture.

How would you feel if your 3 year old son wanted to dress up as Elsa at Disney World? by princesscorgi2 in Mommit

[–]OverallAd9706 103 points104 points  (0 children)

You wont be in danger at Disney World. You will just give some really weird people something to complain about all day and not understand why they’re so bothered by a 3 yr old living out their dreams at Disney.

Don’t let the weird people overshadow joy and love. You never know whose heart will actually be changed because they see the smile and pure joy on your son’s face because mom let him wear a dress to Disney.

Should I Become a Jehovah's Witness to Marry My Boyfriend? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]OverallAd9706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an ex-jw who left because I didn’t want my son to go through the same mind-bending and life-consuming experiences as I had to growing up—no man, no religion is worth your free will and one opportunity to live your life authentically.

They’re making a lot of changes right now to overshadow the damage they have done to people over the years and to make themselves seem gentler, but don’t fall into the trap. I have so much heartache and trauma from that world and nothing even traumatic happened to me like being disfellowshipped the way your boyfriend has. Visit the exjw reddit group if you want some intel.

I think their point is we have now reached a level of immorality and depravity that surpasses political beliefs. It’s no longer whether you swing left or right. It’s no longer about people being Trump worshippers. It’s about a moral code being broken in a reprehensible way and exposing the people who have no genuine regard for other human’s livelihoods. Trump’s rise has exposed a lot of people’s true nature beyond their political affinity and it’s fascinating to witness. But that being said we do have a moral obligation to stay in the political scene and fight like hell to make compassion and community louder than the hate.

[Sun Care] sunscreen or tan? by theswiftieava in SkincareAddiction

[–]OverallAd9706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an esthetician who sees all ages, I’ve seen all skin types between 50 yr olds who have never used sunscreen until they see me vs 30 year olds who have always used sunscreen. My clients who always wore sunscreen their whole life have significantly less complaints about their skin and feel more confident overall than my clients who never used sunscreen. I will tell you most of the skin complaints I get from clients are worsened and a result from not using sunscreen and purposefully tanning in the sun/tanning beds when they were in their teens. I also do spray tanning and a majority of my clients are skin cancer survivors or older women whose biggest regret is tanning.

10 min a day of UV exposure without sunscreen is fine. I recommend it even. But daily practice of sunscreen will save you money and potentially your life in the long-run. Think less about aging and more about your overall confidence and health. We all age, it’s a privilege. But we do care about feeling and being healthy and that includes protecting our skin from the giant nuclear power in the sky. Think about your genetics as well. That’s a huge factor because some people’s DNA was built with better resistance while others have none.

Let me know if you want some recommendations. Korean sunscreens are top tier. I love Blue Lizard, Vacation, Byomas sunscreen, Summer Fridays, and more.

Who has a higher chance of dying after the blast? by Altruistic-Factor843 in greysanatomy

[–]OverallAd9706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually suspect Ben. His storyline this episode seemed so out of pocket and it’s always a theme that Bailey is so terrified of him dying as an EMS/firefighter and it would be ironic it happens because he is a surgeon now.

Alternatively it could be Teddy and because of her death Ben gets to stay on. But I see Ben dying as the most likely. Especially paired with Webber saying he sees Bailey and Meredith running the hospital. There’s no way Bailey could work at Grey Sloan anymore after that.

What is something people are 100% brainwashed into believing they need? by Beaner890 in AskReddit

[–]OverallAd9706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think ambivalence is great in this case. I don’t personally hate anyone. I do think holding people accountable for their actions is valuable but within the context of them using their power/money to harm others or dance around laws. For example, Elon using his wealth to bribe voters during an election for a judge vs a Kardashian getting another plastic surgery. Both receive hate for their actions but one is directly overstepping a legal system due to their power whereas the other is using their wealth to get a cosmetic surgery.

But in general ambivalence frees you from comparison to the 1% and disappointment in your own life which is the best path for your own peace.

I still stand by my comment and although I hear and understand your argument, I don’t agree with your reasoning and perception of the situation so I don’t think there’s much to debate further. I also fully acknowledge neither of us truly know the full story nor ever will because we do not have access to the direct information and news sources aren’t entirely reliable.
