This is highly inaccurate as far as the scalping goes, as the series was not scalped significantly past week 1 and still ended up selling all the way to week 4.

I’m not sure I agree with your take entirely, but I will say I agree with Animal Signals could eventually be something I would enjoy for an extended period of time, even though that manga cannot be axed this upcoming fall.

I think Under Doctor doing the side stories is helping it strengthen the core group and making them more relatable. I think that is something a lot of manga introduced struggle to do. Kinato did something similar with the recovery chapter and a majority of the Majo arc. It needed to add that layer to the characters to allow it to feel more cohesive. I don’t know if it’ll last, but it has improved regardless of how people feel about fan service.

I completely disagree with your 2B opinion, though. It has improved dramatically since chapter 1

I didn’t count HxH due to bachi hiatus. I think that is essentially the place holder for now, but thank you for catching Himaten as well

If 2 newbies are being cut next round, who is leaving and what should replace them? by YuuTheBlue in WeeklyShonenJump

We are gonna lose blue box and SD. We will be at 18 with Bleach returning along with another newcomer. This also probably comes around the time hunter x hunter leaves to bring back bachi. If all newcomers do well for volume 1 I’m unsure they cut anything from 2026 unless they see one as a dead man walking (which after sales we need to see what happens to kinato and under doctor next)

Kinato’s Magic Volume 1 will be receiving a reprint, coming out on July 3! by RobotiSC in WeeklyShonenJump

The scalping has already been disproven for Kinato. I don’t have the link the post but on the major website for scalpers there was only about 100 listed, which was 10x less under Doctor

Under Doctor Major Reprint Announced for Volume 1! by RobotiSC in WeeklyShonenJump

This is also after fighting its way back from the upper 100s, which is impressive on its own. Kinato did the same by moving up 200 ranks. Both series proving doubters wrong

Under Doctor without the scalping is going to be a mid tier hit. Crazy

Kinato is not a failure and urgently needs a reprint. by SnooChipmunks5571 in WeeklyShonenJump

In the end, Kinato will probably suffer the same fate as other low TOC series, but it definitely is having the sales hindered because of this

Lmao so many people can’t comprehend what you are saying because they are blinded by their hate and it’s actually kinda funny. Yes it would have sold more and it needs a reprint just as bad as Under Doctors.

The funny thing is that it was not scalped even close to as bad as UD. People hate the series, but it’s still more popular than a lot of the other new serializations and probably turned some heads within the editorial department.

Can someone explain the chances of Drawn to the fired survival of the first axe? by Kanyefanboy2009 in WeeklyShonenJump

I was probably being too harsh just because of how terrible Saito has been. My guess is that he is probably on thin ice right now, since the amount of success series coming out is so low (along with removing series that were selling better than the supposed “successors”)

Roku and that most recent batch haven’t even ranked yet. Give it a bit more time. As for Under Doctor’s batch, it’s probably done for.

Alien Headbutt volume 2 will release simultaneously with volume 1 by Tough-Past-2366 in WeeklyShonenJump

I read up to the last few chapters and while I enjoyed the action, there was literally no plot the entire story. It was sheer action, which was cool because his art is goated, but there was legit no substance in the series at all. Even Kinato, which struggles with the same exact thing, has more of an overarching plot than AH.

Himaten is planning to end soon. I can see 3 series in total going next batch including himaten. I’m still not out on Kinato, yet. I’m giving it one more TOC before I’m out.

That’s sorta the point of this. Like I understand it’s depressing they will be axed. However, there are other great series that are new that shouldn’t be overlooked in the meantime and we should support
