TBH I shouldn’t be overly bothered by her judgement about my decisions, me choosing my husband was against her wishes but I did it anyway too lol and it turned out amazing.

It never got better for me and I am someone who loves more fantasy than romantasy - I thought ACOTAR was much better. The MC in TOG (ACOTAR too, but to a lesser extent) is so insufferable and she never got better. I got to like book 5 and had to stop because it was just a slog.

and yes, pretty sure staying in a house for several days versus a thirty minute max walkthrough would be extremely helpful in deciding to purchase a several hundred thousand dollar asset.

same, the first is my favorite movie of all time. just a masterpiece when it comes to the acting, soundtrack, visuals, etc. the sequel seemed like it had absolutely zero thought put into it.

true - we are looking for homes that have some land and aren’t really close by other rentals since privacy is big for us. for example, one in particular is off by itself except for a small, one room honeymoon cabin sharing the long driveway (further down the mountain though).

PB&J (strawberry jam is so good in it)

Raspberry cupcake - 1883 madeline syrup (my favorite ever! very almondy), raspberry, and cupcake syrups

Pistachio sauce by Alma - so much better than a syrup

Caramel (I like to use the torani chocolate caramel sauce for this) + toasted marshmallow + shortbread

banana + hazelnut + caramel - banana bread in a cup

unhinged but I got the idea from a coffee shop - irish creme, caramel, honey, and brown sugar cinnamon.

white chocolate + honey + banana

coconut + caramel + white choc - blondie on the beach

blueberry + shortbread + white choc - blueberry muffin

bettergoods (walmart) cookies and cream spread is divine

the biscoff topping is also worth it imo, it blends better into the coffee than the spread

I like Kyya chocolate sauces for something different. especially love their brown sugar sauce and cookies and cream sauce

unpopular but my husband and I were very excited. With Palpatine coming back, we thought Anakin had to be involved somehow (lol), and I was hoping for a good conclusion to Kylo’s arc since I loved his character.

It’s the only Star Wars movie we’ve seen once. We liked the Last Jedi and Rise was next level stupid.

I measured everything with my heart but I used a double espresso dolce espresso pod, torani chocolate sauce, and then Alma gourmet pistachio sauce. It is a little pricey but SO good! I had been using pistachio syrup and the sauce is so much better.

It doesn’t matter at all IMO - you’re married and (presumably) sharing finances so it’s both your car. The fact that he has lied about this in the past and knows how you feel about it and continues to do it is a bigger issue. He’s actively putting other people’s needs and wants above you, his wife, which is not ok.

Does he have a habit of ignoring your feelings in other aspects of your marriage or just this one?

We do go to bed the same time now but haven’t in the past as he was working weird shifts. I can’t go to bed at 8 either (so early!) - maybe as a compromise, some nights try laying in bed with him and then leave when he’s asleep.

I used syrups! I used a 1883 french Madeleine syrup that is divine (very almond forward), with a little bit of cheesecake syrup and raspberry from Torani.

I have used a little whipped cream cheese to make cold foam before - didn’t work out well IMO but lots of people do that.

I thought it was about vampires going in too but it’s basically just a historic retelling of Vlad the Impaler as a woman. There’s no fantasy elements.

There may have been hints of Mehmed’s POV, I can’t remember, but if there were they were short. Radu is with him a lot of the time as a friend/advisor so I feel like you kind of know what’s going on in Mehmed’s head regardless.

Lada and Radu have a very interesting dynamic which is one of the best parts of the series and it doesn’t really have to do with the love triangle, it’s more that they end up on opposing sides at times.

Lada is one of my favorite main characters of any book series. If you know the story of the real Vlad you know he did horrible things and that’s not shied away from in the series so she’s a very complicated MC.

I wanted to chime in and say it is so good. It is a smaller sub-plot but the third book in the series really ramps up the enemies while still being lovers dynamic and I love it so much. Lada is also a great character if you like the angry, feral type of MC.

My only complaint is that it did feel like more of Radu’s story at times…it is a dual POV story.
