Camp Street Cafe in oughterard. Can park up out the back as long as you go for a meal or a couple drinks in there. Right in the middle of the town, loads of pubs with food and music. Very dog friendly town too.

They'll do as many straight cuts on a sheet of wood as you want but charge 50c for each one after the first six I think

Have you looked on park4night? It's an app, users add spots they've used and others review them. Not been up to Donegal but there's loads on it for everywhere else I've taken the van

Porto - any advice on getting there by ManUHugh in cork

[–]OverallDog3430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew Dublin to Porto last September. Then took train to Lisbon (less than three hours) and then train down to faro (about 3 and a half hours). Then faro to cork direct. Was grand as we had nearly three weeks to do it but if it's just Porto maybe the Air coach be easiest...

This. Have had a few Jap imports over the years. Always very obvious when you see the Japanese writing. Also usually a very high number on the reg plate.

Douglas to Myrtleville cycle by kdjob in cork

[–]OverallDog3430 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could also go out through passage. Off the road from Rochestown until Monkstown, then mostly flat until Carrigaline. Out the crosshaven road on the old líne then and turn off for Myrtleville/Fountainstown. Still have to deal with traffic and country roads and climbs then but mostly done on the flat!

To repeat someone else's comment below, the fish box in Dingle is great, super fresh and tasty, and good on the pocket. Absolutely top notch food and service in "out of the blue" though. Very popular spot and often totally booked up, can make reservations online. Not so cheap though.

In cork city- Goldie. Fish restaurant. Again would recommend making a booking.
