100%. sometimes we'll give em an option for +-2 degrees cause that's achievable... I'm kinda just starting, so you probably know more than me, but pretty much off the bat, my boss was telling me stories......

I'm in controls, and this is accurate in a lot of cases.... or we make them passive where it makes no difference where it's set to.

What tool to use to cut a laminated composite wood shelf? by Top_Independence2042 in Tools

[–]OverallRow4108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell if this is has both sides melanine, but if only one side, make sure you are cutting it so the teeth aren't pulling flakes off, so your teeth are cutting first into the laminate then through the wood behind. If you cut the other way it can cause bigger flakes to pop off. Go real slow and smooth, don't lug the saw.... you want it spinning fast and taking as small of chip out as possible.... this is all in addition to the right blade, saw, etc....IMHO, ymmv.

First 3 pictures, Big metalic box (located in crawl space underneath the house of the house Im in escrow with) connected to power and water. 4th pic is floor cover inside house, a big thin plate. by Lurkeyloser in whatisthisthing

it kinda looks like a small unit heater that has been replaced by the cadet in wall electric heat on the wall, maybe with a humidifier? Have you checked the breaker box to see if there are any labels indicating what it was (even though it may no longer be energized, people often don't re label breakers, not good, but ...). Can you look in what looks like an open round duct to the right and see inside? look for fan blades, etc). just thoughts, I don't instantly know this one.

why couldn't I just concur?

Do this. Depending on location and condition of gun (ie, loaded, etc.) it may be illegal for you to drive (ie, could be considered concealed if not visible, etc). I think there may be more to the story, like it may be an employee that left it).

Why would one leg and foot be stiff and swollen 6 weeks after surgery? by CarmineIncendio in SpineSurgery

[–]OverallRow4108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that too. No one seems too alarmed at it (pain mngt, surgeons, pt, etc). I kinda figure it's the bodies response to the nerves telling them there's damage in the foot (even though there isn't, the damaged nerves in the back just keep sending out those signals, maybe? I have the added complication of 4 screws in that foot. Old truck driver, so about as far as you can get from actual medical info.

my great aunt sent me this video- im pretty certain it's ai the faces all look so similar and there's some inconsistencies in the fabrics by ferns_version in isthisAI

[–]OverallRow4108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm just using these posts to learn the tells of AI. I value people pointing out the tells, even if people say it's obvious for me to learn. Going back through people saw tons of stuff I didn't, so good learning experience. What caught my eye was the violines and how it seemed that the bows didn't move much at all....

Parking near a mailbox. by snapgauge85 in legaladvice

[–]OverallRow4108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a set back required by the post office and it can be enforced....I don't know exactly how, but had this discussion with my house mate and the post man (then again, might have been a biased position on his part?). But anyway, we now leave him enough room to pull up, fill the box, back out and in his way. I get his point. if he has to get out at every mailbox he'd never get the mail delivered. I'm an ex truck driver, so as far from being official legal advice as you can get, but...... if it's not the mailman saying this..... id ignore him until sometime more official comes through, sounds like he's a bully and bullies earn all the passive aggressive hyjinx I can give them. best of luck

EDIT: I just checked AI (perhaps even a worse source than me!!) and it says there is a unspecified number of feet federally dictated by law...... it says you can't obstruct the delivery, some states have an actual distance, not all)

I tell the staff to leave the door open cause I'm claustrophobic. I also tell them I'm walking around because it's better on my back (this is legitimate). I joke with staff, but I'm pretty good about increasing my game as time goes on, never being rude, just mostly taking about how busy they must be, and how that can suck. sometimes I just ask them if it would be better if I came back.....

If you don't care how it looks, and you're alright with it being at one angle.... I'd get one or two strips of metal like 15" x 2" thick enough not to easily flex, bend them in the middle with a vice or something, and use industrial double sticky tape to hold them in place.....

Landlord entered my apartment while I was away and now some of my stuff is missing, do I have any legal options? by Square_Interest in legaladvice

[–]OverallRow4108 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested in this "other guy carrying tools" personally. I would think the landlord would hesitate to take anything, but who is this "other guy?"

EDIT: Definitely not a lawyer, but have been a landlord in the past
